How to replace a broken derailleur hanger. Thank you Caruso Cycleworks for the workshop.
Thanks for great work on bike... holy cow did it feel great to ride today! Smooth.
Hey Matt---Happy New Year! When I retire we want to move to NM. Is it really as cool a place as it appears to be? I will bring my bike(s) in for repairs for sure. Congrats on a crazy successful business! R

I have an entry for the Iron Horse 2017 McDonalds Citizen Tour on May 27th, I paid $105 for entry and processing fees, I cannot make it and would love to sell it. Please contact me or repost to let any other cyclist know! Thank you!
Matt, thanks for the awesome barware. Cheers!!
Albuquerque friends, please be on the lookout. My bike, a green Novara Randonee touring bike purchased from REI was stolen. I last had it on my bike rack at the Nuclear Museum on Eubank on Friday Evening, November 4. #stolenbike #albuquerque
I was liking riding...forgot what it was like to have a perfectly tuned bike! Wow I'm loving being out spinning!! Thanks Matt. 🚴🏽
Twice I've been to your place and twice I've gotten better service and better results than I have anywhere else in the state. You went out of your way to help me on super short notice the day before a race the first time. And today you literally finished the rebuild job you started the first time I met you. Thanks for answering my endless questions and humoring the whiny guy with the broken back. I've always said that when dealing with a bike shop or a mechanic, I wanna feel like Norm did when he walked into Cheers, which I is exactly the vibe I've gotten from you. I can pay you no higher compliment than that in my estimation. As long as I'm in New Mexico, I'll drive to wherever you set up your mechanic stand.
Hello,
With the recent news of the TLC cyclists being injured I have started this petition, please sign share and pass it around perhaps there is something we can do to make a difference.

Great job out there today Matt! It is a Crazy fast category you are in!
Matt, I couldn't think of anyone else who would truly appreciate this besides you...I am turning my Cannondale into a true winter be**er bike, I just put 3 components on the C'dale that are Shimano 600 (pre-Ultegra!) and they still work perfectly!

Good to know I can still ride a century. Not my fastest by far and I’ll probably be paying for this for a couple days. Maybe not the smartest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s done.

Break heart loop+ today. Mostly following these two badasses. @terry.1, who is 3 weeks out from competing in the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii, and @mindycaruso, who is just “out for a spin”. Best part is, besides the view, hitting 62.2mph down heartbreak.

What happens when you go on a ride with @selfdeterminedathlete @mindycaruso and a few others, you get so tired that you end up ordering Greek food from @gyrosmediterranean , @panospodilatis. You get the family platter that feeds 4 and this is what’s left after the two of us refill. Now to let the stomach settle and have some baklava for desert. @neroveloce @carusocycleworks @michaelthomascoffee

Mom and dad said not to lay in the dirt while trying to catch some rays. They didn’t say anything about climbing on the patio table.

Let me preface this post first by saying it doesn’t matter who you are, how long you’ve been riding bikes, how good a racer you are or how comfortable you are drafting someone.

I rode out 313 today and decided to do an interval to the Bernalillo sign, 10k. About 1.5 miles in I passed a rider wearing a RedRock jersey. I was going much faster than him and went out into the traffic lane to pass. He apparently decided to jump on my wheel. I was in my own little world trying to keep a very steady pace of around 300 watts. Once I passed the sign, I stopped pedaling right away and he came by saying nice pull. To which first it startled me, since I passed him 4 miles earlier and I didn’t know he was there, and then I told him that was very dangerous. He replied, no it’s not. I can think of a multitude of things that could happen that would make either him, me or both of us crash or break bike parts. Cyclist have more than enough other things to worry about than other cyclist doing stupid and dangerous things.

He didn’t ask if it was okay to draft me or even let me know he was there. I probably could have handled things a little better since there was some profanity being yelled after he said that it wasn’t dangerous.

Bottom line is that we all are responsible to make riding as safe as possible. Jumping on someone’s wheel and not asking or letting them know they are there is just not a good thing to do. Common curtsey would be nice

Matt

One of the nicest, generous, all around good guy and best sponsors. Today at the Dusty Roadrunner. Finish line trophy.

Ginger laying on and behind @mindycaruso. You can tell Ginger’s really comfortable by the length of her tongue.

03/11/2022

Ginger: I miss my sister Kona. 🐶🐾. She was the best ever.

02/16/2022

Ginger wins!!!!! Thanks @kjackroxman for showing Gingers tongue in all her glory. @theshopbreakfastandlunch

Received this “Breakfast Dark Chocolate “ from @traveltiger65. The Hawaiians have a lot explain to do. The pairings are what I would consider after dinner, not breakfast. Than again, maybe they know more about relaxing than I do. Also, as @ltlove says, you can’t say you’ve been drinking all day without starting in the morning.

We were supposed to go out to dinner and see Hamilton tonight, Xmas present from @mindycaruso But, thanks to Covid, it has been rescheduled for next year, and probably a good thing since the weather would have made getting to @popejoypresents very difficult. So Mindy made sea bass with curry and risotto. Still have some sort of special dessert that she “whipped” up. ❤️

01/25/2022

The calm before the storm. Tomorrow, the tops should be all white. Today, dry and dusty.

01/23/2022

Been working on this all time record for a while. Finally got it yesterday, so today I could just cruise on the course. @selfdeterminedathlete, the gauntlet has been thrown down.

01/13/2022

Finished @mindycaruso custom Christmas puzzle. She helped with the edge. O.D, Ginger, Daisy, N.D and Kona.

01/10/2022

When we first got our ND girl 13 years ago today. Really miss her🐶😢

This is what happens when a continental pro @tyrel_fuchs decides to leave his jacket at your house while he’s out riding.

Photos from Caruso Cycle Works's post 12/14/2021

Might be early for daily records, but I’ll take two today. Haven’t done this before.

Little dry and dusty at Oak Flats. Really could use some moisture. Good to see so many people outside.

10/29/2021

How our Ginger girl gets through the day.

10/03/2021

Ginger looking over our new entry way. I think she’ll approve if it stops the neighborhood cats from using it as a bathroom.

Photos from Caruso Cycle Works's post 08/29/2021

Long shot, but did anyone pick up my tail light today? Fell off on Tramway going under I-40. Cygo350.

08/21/2021

First time on gravel bike in a couple months. 2 times around Oak Flats. The dirt is nice thanks to @parmenidesorpinel mountain bike race last weekend, and a little rain. Had to bunny hop a snake (bull I think).

Complained to a customer that carrot cake Oreos don’t come in double stuff. This is her response to it. VERY limited addition. I guess I’ll let it slide that she misspelled “stuf”. 🤣

08/01/2021

Not the #2 haircut like a couple times ago. But, a #4 go fast haircut for nationals. Thanks to @mindycaruso for the go fast look.

07/23/2021

Pffttt…@mindycaruso @jbvsoftrocks … anyone can get one pair of new shoes. I get new primary and secondary shoes. Of course, I can’t get Ginger to wear them. Just look cute and sit next to them.

A small jump in power, but it proves….bacon always makes things better. Now to see if the lightning socks can keep up.

07/08/2021

I still have the best customers. Homemade cookies, 😋 mmmmmm

Photos from Caruso Cycle Works's post 07/06/2021

Getting better. First over 1400 watt in a long time. Might just have to wear the lightning bolt socks more often.

07/03/2021

These two were so nice and polite when I passed by that I had to go around the block and get some lemonade and a cookie. Had to use my secret stash money, but we’ll worth it.

First real try at a sprint. Not as good as it has been, but not bad either.

They’re here!!!! Thanks to my Oreo supplier. Top 3 are s’mores, carrot cake and mint chocolate.

Dinner and dessert. Filet, sweet potato, salad, homemade bread and roasted garlic. Dessert, s’mores cup. Good thing I road for 4 hours today.

Timeline photos 05/01/2021

17 year anniversary day. I’m not sure what’s for dinner and desert, but I know there will be some mixology going on using the good crystal. Gourmet popcorn not pictured.

Ginger used to lay on Kona all the time at this spot of the couch. Now Cadence lays on Ginger on the same spot. Must be something with this particular spot of the couch. If this was in Sedona, I would say it was some type of vortex or something.

Photos from Caruso Cycle Works's post 04/16/2021

Cadence is surveying her handy work. She didn’t like the collar on Ginger. It took away from her tongue and eyes. Now Ginger has a new clear collar to stop her from licking her hind leg. Cadence is always there to help.

Timeline photos 04/14/2021

Mustachio Stout brought by a customer for @mindycaruso and I. Mindy likes milk stouts. Ginger and Cadence don’t like it.

Timeline photos 04/10/2021

First day back on the gravel bike in the east mountains. It’s already really dry and dusty in Oak Flats and Pine Flats. But, I was able to clear, no dabs, the entire loop. Bike was making a racket by the time I got home. Time to clean and relube.

Photos from Caruso Cycle Works's post 04/08/2021

Ginger used to lay on top of Kona, now Cadence lays on top of Ginger. Dogs are weird.

Photos from Caruso Cycle Works's post 03/23/2021

Cadences results are in. She’s 83.5% American Pit bull Terrier and 16.5% American Staffordshire Terrier. Nothing else supposedly. I think one or more of the darts thrown at the genomes board didn’t stick.

Timeline photos 03/18/2021

Excuse me....I just need to stretch out here on the cool tile floor.

Cadence, sis is laying in my small bed. She doesn’t even fit. Ginger, move your meat....loose your seat.
