B3 Forge and Blade Works

B3 Forge and Blade Works is a veteran owned business who makes custom blades and metal designs to our clients order. Thank you for your patronage.

Working on a small Scandi grind blade. I need to clean up the shoulders and get it in the heat treat oven. Have to decide which handle material I'll use.

Trying to keep up on my progress on the page as well. Each of these pieces of wood are getting ready to go into my stabilising chamber. Top to bottom are Eucalyptus, aromatic red cedar, wild Tambrin, purple heart, wenge, Bolivian Rosewood, Canary Wood, and zebra Wood!

Some full size purple heart scales stabilized in linseed oil.

Here's the purple heart and cherry wood freshly dried out of the vacuum chamber.

Been a while since I posted here on Facebook, most of my content is now on Instagram @B3forgeandbladeworks but I'm trying to stabilize wood for the first time! I'm using a technique from Purgatory Iron Works using boiled linseed oil. Purple heart, bocote, and curly maple in this pot.

Huge Shoutout to SEW Much More for this amazing work!

Thank you B3 Forge & Blade Works! These turned out great!

Annealing some cable to be made into Damascus steel. This should be a fun project.

Getting started on my rat rod Bowie knife. Chevy leaf spring and a 1964 Ford bumper for the guard. I'm thinking the quilted poplar for the handle. What's everyone's thoughts?

120 feet of mild steel arrived today. Gotta get the next project going!

Without failure you can't appreciate victory. This hybrid handle failed at the junction of the resin and the burl as it was being shaped.

A beautiful 10" overall knife 5" blade for an Air Force Security Police Colonel's going away gift.

Work progresses. There's such deep color to this wood/resin handle. Absolutely beautiful!

Damascus blade from Alabama Damascus Steel and hybrid resin/burl handles from PK Knife Scales and Blanks. Two great companies that I've had the opportunity to work with. Should turn out real nice when it's done.

A commemorative ribbon for a cancer survivor near and dear to my heart.

The first of the zombie slayers is done!

And now for something completely different....was asked to make a couple "Post apocalyptic" hatchets. Here they are in the works.

Not the best photo, but I'm really liking this one!

Progress continues. The bottom two will be available for sale shortly.

Rough shaped. These are coming together nicely.

Two commissioned pieces and an amazing Damascus blade. Will be all shaped up tomorrow.
