Mindset- Focus your thoughts by keeping positive and reducing and eliminate negative thought patterns that distract you from your goal or dramatize negative emotions.
A pessimistic outlook can destroy your life in more ways than you may realize. Research consistently links negative thinking to an increased risk of mental health problems, physical health issues, relationship problems, and financial trouble. The first step to creating a healthy, successful, loving mindset is to become aware and recognize your negative thoughts.

How to Recognize "BLUE" Thoughts

"BLUE" is an acronym that stands for blaming myself; looking for the bad news; unhappy guessing; and exaggeratedly negative. It represents the thoughts that are too negative to actually allow for another perspective.
B-Blaming myself. While it's important to take responsibility for your part, excessive self-blame isn't productive.
L-Looking for bad news. 10 good things can go right and one bad thing happen in a day, if you focus on the one bad part, dwelling on the negative will keep you stuck in a negative mindset. It's important to step back and create a more balanced, realistic outlook.
U-Unhappy guessing. Even though you have no idea what will happen tomorrow, you might predict doom and gloom. Whether you imagine that you're going to embarrass yourself, never succeed, or that you or your relationships are destined to fail; unhappy guessing can turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy.
E-Exaggeratedly negative- thinking to yourself that the entire interaction was a complete disaster and seeing only the negative perspective of the situation will lead you into a downward spiral. The more negative you think the worse you feel. The worse you feel the less likely you are to take action.

Replace BLUE Thoughts With True Thoughts

Once you identify a BLUE thought, the goal is to replace it with a true thought. True thoughts are thoughts that would come from you best version of yourself. Advice that you would give a sibling or friend in the same situation.

Become the Best Version of Yourself!

Start with Self Discovery- Discover your strengths and capitalize on them! Figure out what your natural abilities are that are noticed by you and others and then use them to become your best self. Then work on any areas of weakness to strengthen areas you are not as strong in but would like to be.

Motivate yourself- Motivation keeps energetic momentum towards your goals especially at times of challenge. Use motivational quotes and affirmations to fuel you.

Mindset- keep your thoughts positive and focused. Reduce and eliminate negative thought patterns that distract you from your goal or dramatize negative emotions.

Set Goals- Set goals and write them down. Align all of your actions, words, and your behaviors with achieving those goals.

Time Management- Spend your time wisely! Time management skills are essential to bringing out your best. You have to consistently focus on your goals and what you are trying to accomplish in the time period you are trying to accomplish it in. Don't allow yourself to get distracted and derailed. Minimize unproductive distractions.

Me: Hey God.

God: Hello, my love.

Me: I'm falling apart. Can you put me back together?

God: I would rather not.

Me: Why?

God: Because you aren't a puzzle.

Me: What about all of the pieces of my life that are falling down onto the ground?

God: Let them stay there for a while. They fell off for a reason. Take some time and decide if you need any of those pieces back.

Me: You don't understand! I'm breaking down!

God: No - you don't understand. You are breaking through. What you are feeling are just growing pains. You are shedding the things and the people in your life that are holding you back. You aren't falling apart. You are falling into place. RELAX. Take some deep breaths and allow those things you don't need anymore to fall off of you. Quit holding onto the pieces that don't fit you anymore. Let them fall off. Let them go.

Me: Once I start doing that, what will be left of me?

God: Only the very best pieces of you.

Me: I'm scared of changing.

God: I keep telling you - YOU AREN'T CHANGING!! YOU ARE BECOMING!

Me: Becoming who?

God: Becoming who I created you to be! A person of light and love and charity and hope and courage and joy and mercy and grace and compassion. I made you for more than the shallow pieces you have decided adorn yourself, which you cling to with such greed and fear. Let those things fall off of you. I love you! Don't change! Become! Become who I made you to be. I'm going to keep telling you this until you remember it.

Me: There goes another piece.

God: Yep. Let it be.

Me: So... I'm not broken?

God: No - but you are breaking like the dawn. It's a new day. Become!!
