Longfellow’s 2023 Senior Walk is this Wednesday 5/17 at 11am…. We’d love for any Longfellow Alumni 2023 Seniors to come by and walk through your elementary school! Hope to see you there!

I know some of our Alumni are already reaching high school! Just wanted to let you know that AHS is having their cheer parent meeting this Thursday . This is for incoming freshman as well!
Parent meeting is mandatory. Get Physicals scheduled, practice starts Monday 7/1!!!

Happy Mother’s Day to all our mamas!

May 10th marked our final day for cheer for the season, not only did we perform in the school talent show, but we rewarded the team for a great year! Thank you Prairie Dog Cheer and Dance and families for lending us your children for a fun cheer season!

Tomorrow is the Longfellow Talent Show! Show begins at 1:45pm!! The Prairie Dog Cheer and Dance Team is performing. We are about 6th in line.

The team is to wear:
Team shirt
All black leggings
Black shoes
High clean pony tail with turquoise bow
Curled is fine
Makeup optional.

Short and sweet ceremony tomorrow for the team for year certificate and a treat at 1:00pm.

AHS Bulldog Cheer had a blast with these kids! We have some past Prairie Dog Cheer and Dance Members and loved seeing the Longfellow Faces!
From AHS, Freshman, Minisa & Serena, Sophomore Alexis and Junior Ariana. From Jefferson 7th graders Analicia and Leilah. It s a tradition for these kiddos to attend the AHS Jr. Cheer Camp! Time goes by fast!! We are glad to have this partnership with AHS 💚💙

AHS is having one last cheer camp this year! We would love for our current team to attend so they can start getting their skills ready and show off their skills! This just isn’t for our team but any kid wanting to go!! I will place forms In the office or message this page and we will get them to you! Especially if your are on our waiting list!!! We may have the opportunity and availability to expand our team, which I’m hoping for. Plus you get a cool gift for attending the camp!!!

Great 1st practice today! We have 24 kiddos and each one of them worked super hard! Practice makes perfect, have your kiddos practice what they learned today, we will be moving on to the next dance next week! We sent home blue reminders to set up REMIND today. Please get that set up. Thank you!

So for we are maxed with students, if any drop, we will move onto those who are not he waiting list.

First practice Wednesday 9/26/18 at 1:35 to 3:05

Students will be take to drop off at 3:05 for pick up. Please be on time.

Students will need to work lose clothing such as leggings, swears or basketball shorts and tennis shoes. And girls hair tied back

Ok..... back by popular demand..... is..... the Longfellow Cheer and Dance program! Letters/sign ups are going out today. 1st-5th grade are welcome. Right now, no try-outs, unless we get an overwhelming response. Since I am the only person running the program, the program may be limited. Practice will be on Wednesday’s 1:35-3:35 (1 day only, for now)

Possible fees for uniformed attire.

More info to come 😊 feel free to message on here. Once the team is set we will set up Remind for communication.

2015-2016 Prairie Dog Cheer with a uniform (Grades 2-5) We will be starting practice this Wednesday 10/5 from 1:30-3:30. Kiddos do need to be picked up by 3:30. Please bring dress out clothes and hair should be tied up.

Also, please try on your uniform and let us know if it fits. We can do reorders if needing.

We will not have try-out this year, only based on who we predict returning. We will make a decision in November if we decide to have try-outs.

Longfellow Students Travel Along El Camino Real — Albuquerque Public Schools

Tomorrow is the big day! The National Park's Service will be including Longfellow's Martinez Town Park and the Camino Real as one of their National Parks!! Festivities begin at 11:00 am, get there earlier because parking will be limited and streets will be closed off. Staff parking will be for staff only. There is no parking in the drop off, because buses for Albuquerque High will park there. Parts of Roma and Edith will be closed off. This is a huge day for Longfellow! We hope to see you there!
