Strength training as you age reduces your risk for death, according to a study from Penn State College of Medicine. Not only does it strengthen your muscles, resulting in better stamina and balance, but it also increases your bone density. Together, those factors reduce your risk for falls and fractures—major causes of disability for older people.

[09/20/18]   Is rising up a”thing”? I mean can you rise up when young? Sure you can. Is it only for the young? No all can rise. Do you only rise once? Oh definitely not. Some of us rose only to discover there is another hill or mountain to climb. So we rise. Some rose from the depths of the sea. Others from the crest of a hill. Is it still a battle. Indeed it is. Every day we must choose to rise and struggle and reach. We must choose on days when the goal seems so close, and also when the finish line was moved. Confusion clouds or fields of clear vistas, we can choose to rise. Ahh Ms. Angelou I hear your voice.
And still I rise.
