Meet Olaf Kula, a member of our community who has just begun an amazing journey. He will journey across 5 countries in Southern Africa in 45 days on a hand bike, along with others riding both adaptive and able bodied bikes.
Their journey has 3 objectives:
🟠Demonstrate what people with disabilities can achieve once barriers to their impairment are lifted
🟠Generate awareness of the poverty cycle in which millions of people living with disabilities are trapped.
🟠Raise funds and equipment for organizations of people with disabilities in the countries on their route.
We are incredibly proud of the work Olaf has put in to train for this extraordinary feat. Please join us in learning more about his adventure by following and consider donating to this inspiring cause through the link in our bio.
Micaela is finally done with PT school, which means we get the privilege of having her help lead this weekend’s community hike with Jude this Saturday at 8am! If you haven’t met Micaela before, she is such a pleasure to be around and would be our first pick for a participant on the reality show “Alone”. So rest assured, wherever she is leading you, you are in great hands. If you are interested, please inquire at the front desk and they will give you details on where to meet, etc…
Training is beginning for our Coed Taos Trip and our Women's Buckskin Gulch Slot Canyon Trip. Both are very challenging trips, but can be altered to your level of ability. Either way, training is necessary and we have some of the most amazing coaches to help you along the way.
The Coed Taos Trip is August 25th -27th and will involve hiking either to Williams Lake, or, for the more determined, climbing Wheeler Peak. Participants will also experience Via Ferrata cabled route challenges, including a 100 foot skybridge, at Taos Ski Valley with the help of guides.
The Women's Buckskin Gulch Slot Canyon Trip, October 18-21st, is a trip to remember for sure. This scenic adventure can be done as an out and back or, if you are up for the challenge, you can hike the entire 21 miles from start to finish. Either way is a challenge, but hiking the entire slot canyon will require a large amount of training as it is reportedly the longest slot canyon in the world! So the earlier you start training the better! This trip will also include kayaking and a short hike through Antelope Canyon.
Both of these trips will include lodging and most meals. For more information or to sign up, please inquire at the front desk.
Join Tasha for a community hike this Sunday at 8am. The trail will be steep and the company wonderful (how could it not be with Tasha there, right?). Sign up at the front desk and we will tell you where to meet. Hope you can make it!

In case you are wondering how high that is-27 feet, seven inches. 🤯 Congratulations ! Way to make the proud!
It’s United Home Opener Day this Saturday! 🙌🙌The guys have been training hard and we are looking forward to cheering them on this weekend. If you haven’t bought your tickets yet, you can go to the link in our bio to purchase some.
Cheers to another week complete with the Anniversary Challenge. Hopefully by now you are beginning to see a difference in the way you feel when your daily habits and workouts are completed. That really is the goal here- building better habits that you can sustain. So if you miss a goal on a day, take the time to notice how your body is responding. For example, if you don’t take the time for aerobic activity or getting outside, do you find yourself more depressed or irritable? If you haven’t had sufficient protein, do you find yourself snacking more? If you drink alcohol, do you notice its effects on your sleep? Noticing how your body responds will be helpful in sustaining these habits long term. Progress each day adds up to big results.
Don’t forget to mark your habits in the app, as results will be tallied later today.
Keep it going!
Sign ups have started for our Summer Youth Program.

Big congratulations going out to Sofie Schunk who won the 5k at the Carlsbad 5000 this past weekend with a time of 16:22!
In addition to being an amazing runner, skier and soccer player, Sofie spends her “free time”voluntarily coaching youth soccer and track, which we believe deserves major kudos as well.
Way to be a such a positive role model and inspiration ! 🙌🙌🙌
We think you may be allergic to iron, cause you are all starting to look pretty swole 😉.
Great first week participating in the Anniversary Challenge. Remember if you forget to track results one day, you can go back and still fill them in after. Points are given for daily habits and workouts completed.
Don’t let a bad day ruin the whole challenge. Every day is a new day to meet your goals. If you had goals that weren’t met last week, instead of getting down on yourself, take the time to think about what stood in your way and how you will approach it differently this week. Set your game plan for the week now.
👏👏👏Big congrats to those of you who have met your daily goals with 100% adherence. The struggle is real… especially getting the water in 💦😂. Please tell us your tips and tricks!
If you missed the Anniversary Challenge seminar this past weekend, have no fear. We recorded it and can send you a link if you shoot us a DM.
Last week’s standings will be posted at Elevate soon. Make sure to check them out the next time you are in. We will update them each week.
Only 4 more days to sign up for the Elevate Women’s Tucson Adventure Trip May 17-20th. We will start our training hikes this Saturday.
Let us know if you are interested in the trip or joining us for the hike and we will give you more info. Training hikes are always open to everyone, whether you are going on the trips or not.
Hope you can join!
For those of you taking part in the 10th Anniversary Challenge, don’t forget to start logging your habits and workouts today!
If you do not know how to do this or have not downloaded the app, please ask the front desk or your coach for help ASAP as you will begin getting points for each habit/ workout that is completed.
We would love to share any best practices of how you are achieving your goals. So please feel free to tag us at any time during the challenge.
Although it is a challenge, we are all in this together and look forward to seeing everyone make it across the finish line.
Hope to see you all at Elevate on Saturday, April 1st for a seminar and group workout at 12pm.

Congratulations to Nancy for achieving her Misogi! After reading “Comfort Crisis” as a staff, we have all set goals to achieve. There were a couple rules: 1. Make it really hard 2. Don’t die. Also some guidelines, only tell the people needed to complete this goal and you should only have a 50% chance of success.
Nancy has been working on achieving 10,000ft of elevation in one day for quite some time. We are incredibly proud of her perseverance in achieving it.
Thank you Nancy for showing us all that anything can be achieved with a goal, a plan and dedication!
Have a fun and safe weekend!
Congrats to , and Bonnie Hall for completing the Thirsty Thirteen in Durango this weekend! Super proud of all these ladies! Drink up! 💦🍻🥂
