Senor Buscador’s Improbable Journey from New Mexico to the Breeders’ Cup

He's not a New Mexico-bred, but Joe R. Peacock Jr.'s Senor Buscador, a contender in this year's Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, has strong New Mexico connections. The 4-year-old Kentucky-bred Mineshaft c**t is one of four stakes winners produced by Rose's Desert, a multliple stakes winning New Mexico-bred daughter of Desert God. "We've always known how good he was; things just kept happening," said trainer Todd Fincher of Senor Buscador. "He's finally showing what we knew he could do. Now, he's showing it to the world."
