Post workout...what do you do? I get asked this question a lot! I learned in all my sports nutrition classes that you should try to get protein and carbs in as soon as possible (preferably within 20 min) after a good workout. By “good” I mean more than just a low-key walk or yoga. If you have had your heart rate up or been lifting some heavy weights, your body has been working hard and used up its energy source. You owe it to your body to replenish your source of energy as quick as possible.

Therefore, I found 1st Phorm’s Phormula 1 protein which is a rapid-assimilation hydrolyzed whey protein (meaning it will absorb quickly) to be the best thing after my workouts. I add into that Ignition, which is a glycogen supercompensation formula which helps give you a quicker recovery time. Protein + carbs = recovery & gains!!!
