Hey Everyone! Sorry for the late post - something went wrong when we tried to post Sunday and we only just noticed! Here it is!
Welcome to Week 8, the FINAL WEEK of the Alden Soccer Tournament Soccer Ball Challenge! This week, we have challenges submitted by 3 of our top participants! For each challenge you complete, you will receive 1 raffle ticket. If you do all 3, you will get three submissions! You can submit them separately or all as one video.
2. Trick Shot(s)
3. (Socially Distant) Passing the soccer ball with a friend
*Please remember that social distancing rules still apply, and that you may not be eligible for a submission ticket if those rules are not followed*
Check out Deanna’s video for more information and some ideas! As always, stay safe, and have fun!!
Week 7 is playing soccer with your... hands??? Show us your crazy inner goalie skills (or your not so great goalie skills, we don't judge) or practice some throw ins! Next weeks challenge will be picked by the individuals with the most raffle entries so far -- see who they are in the video!!
[06/27/20] Here's one of our favorite submissions from week 5! If you haven't talked to your soccer ball about stroller safety, today is the day to do so! (And it's also the day to submit your week 6 entry, playing soccer with your family!)
Welcome to Week 6 of the Alden Soccer Tournament Soccer Ball Challenge! Soccer is a team sport, so this week, we want you to play soccer with somebody else! Get your parents, siblings, pets, or friends involved for a quick match or practice session! Check out Deanna’s video for some ideas if nobody is available to make your video with you!
To everyone starting to get back out on the field in the upcoming weeks, we hope these challenges have helped keep you soccer-ready! As always, stay safe and have fun!
Who's ready for week 5?! This week we are turning down the skills and turning up the creativity - take your soccer ball for a walk! (or a run, or a bike ride, or a sprint...)
Check out one of our favorite videos from last week! Don't miss week 4 - tricks, trick shots, and crazy skills!
Craziest skiil?? Trick shots?! Welcome to Week 4 of the Alden Soccer Tournament Soccer Ball Challenge!!
We are officially at the halfway mark!! This week, show us your craziest or coolest skill or trick shot! Check out Deanna's video to see some examples along with some of her most impressive tricks! Music is not required but sounds pretty cool.
As always, be safe and have fun!
(No trees were harmed in the making of this video)
Here's another one of our obstacle courses from last week! There's still time for your week 3 entry - you can do all of your exercises in pool floaties if thats what floats your boat 😂
Welcome to Week 3 of the Alden Soccer Tournament Soccer Ball Challenge! We had some AWESOME obstacle courses submitted last week and can't wait to share more of those with you!
This week is a fitness-based challenge.Choose three of the exercises presented in Deanna's video, OR swap one (or all three) of them out for one of your favorite exercises!
Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy the sunshine!!
Check out one of our awesome obstacle courses from this week's challenge! You've got until tomorrow night to submit your video for week 2!!!
Welcome to Week 2 of the Alden Soccer Tournament Soccer Ball Challenge! Thank you to everyone that submitted a video for Week 1, we will be posting some of those throughout the upcoming week!
Since this would have been Tournament Weekend, our challenge this week is a lot of fun and a lot more creative! You will have to design and complete your own obstacle course! As you will hear in Deanna's video, bonus points are up for grabs for creativity. Remember, videos (and therefore courses) are to be no longer than one minute!
Disclaimer: Extra bonus points will not be given for throwing out your back trying to do a cartwheel like Deanna! (Please no injuries!)
Have fun and stay safe!
Today is your last day to submit a video of your footskills for week 1 of our challenge! Remember if you miss week 1 you will not be eligible for our 100$ grand prize raffle. (Unfortunately dogs are not eligible to enter)!
Welcome to Week 1 of the Alden Soccer Tournament Soccer Ball Challenge! Check out our video of Deanna Kocher showing us our first challenge! Have fun, be safe, and send us your videos by Saturday night!
As you may have guessed, the Alden 4v4 Tournament will not run this year. While we were disappointed we had made this decision, we know that our fresh ideas and new team members we had in the works this year will be even bigger and better when we all get together for the 6th annual tournament next Memorial Day Weekend!
BUT: Just because the tournament isn’t running doesn’t mean we don’t want you to play soccer! The Alden Soccer Tournament will be hosting a Soccer Ball Challenge in lieu of being able to join together and compete. Every Sunday for the next 8 weeks, starting this Sunday, May 17th, we will post a video of a challenge. We want you to get outside, grab your soccer ball, and give it a try! For every week that you submit a video of yourself completing the challenge of the week, your will get one submission for a raffle for one of two $50 Dick’s Sporting Goods gift cards that will be drawn at the end of the 8 weeks. For anyone that submits a video every week, you will be entered in for a second raffle of a $100 gift card!
This challenge follows all social distancing rules, gets us out in the sunshine, and jump-starts us on soccer season like the tournament usually would! Check out a more complete set of instructions below, and get ready for the first challenge this Sunday! Questions? Message us or send us an email at [email protected]! Stay safe, and have fun!

[04/25/16] Hello everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that Dan Kocher is organizing volunteers for this upcoming tournament. With that in mind, we still need some more volunteers for set-up (May 26th and 27th) and the actual day of the tournament (the 28th). If you're interested, please email him at [email protected]. Also, if there is concern about missing the games of friends/families, don't worry, we can work around those as soon as schedules get released (even if that is the day of the tournament). Thank you for all of your time and support, this type of event wouldn't be possible without it!
Happy Saturday!! We are proud to present out brand new tournament WEBSITE!! Come check it out to find out what is in store this year and to sign up a team! We owe a huge thank you to Best Design for this incredible site!
