There are many benefits to cardiovascular training – from lowering blood pressure to improving sleep + mental health, running can be an amazing activity if performed properly.

Tips from Snap Trainer, Erin S. –

Start slow: For the first few minutes, keep the treadmill at a level that’s comfortable for you to maintain a conversation (or running sessions, if you’re just starting out). If you’re going too fast, it’s easy to lose track of breath and form!

👃Try to breathe through your nose as much as possible.
👣 Aim for forefoot falls instead of heel strikes.

Interval training is your friend – whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned runner, interval training can be a powerful addition to your training and is a great way to slowly increase your endurance + efficiency. Aim to include an interval session once a week!
Life is busy, we get it! But making time for movement doesn't have to be complicated. Fit this full-body workout into your routine and reap the feel-good benefits!
A good HIIT workout will increase your heart rate and release mood-raising endorphins! Who here is moving their mood today?
Nothing beats the elevated feeling you get from that extra push 🙌.
Today, and every day, we remember and honor those who laid down their lives for our freedom.
Nothing beats the powerful feeling you get after a great lift, run or walk. What movement makes you feel best?
Fitness really does make you feel great. Watch to see all the benefits! 👏
Zoom fatigue is real! Just as it sounds, it's that tiredness you get from back-to-back video calls. While video calls may be here to stay, there are ways to cope—like scheduling 10–15 minute breaks throughout your workday so that you can get away from your desk. Snap Fitness member, Cosmo T., has had to overcome physical and mental obstacles in order to find strength, and his story is pretty incredible. He suffered a spinal cord injury from a ski accident when he was young and lost control of his legs from it.

After the accident, Cosmo was eager to get back to his previous fitness habits and became a member at the Houghton, MI Snap Fitness.

He explains, “The main reason I became a member at Snap Fitness is because of accessibility and the people. The people are what make it the most accessible. Sometimes you just need help, and when I come to Snap Fitness, they are willing to do almost anything to help me and that is what I consider accessible.”
