Trust me, we all fall into the, “I’m not skinny enough,” belief from time to time. Especially if we compare ourselves to the retouched photos of models and fitness professionals on social media all day. Bottom line: you will regret it if you hide from your life because you are waiting to look a certain way. Let’s start loving the body we are in right NOW! Love it, take care of it and it will love you back. Promise. 😍

I was a gym rat for years and it ate up my entire day. Driving there, waiting in line for the good classes, getting kicked in the face because it was so crowded, smelling other people’s BO... the list goes on. 🤢

With two kids and a full time job at the hospital I need the fastest, most efficient workouts in the world. Well I got them! Right in my own basement! I can wear whatever I want and I don’t even have to see any crazy naked ladies in the locker room. (Only my own crazy naked self.) 🤣🤣To top it all off I’m slowly making progress and wearing my old clothes again! 🥳Helllll yesssss!!!

Side note... I haven’t run in over 18 months, slow is an understatement. 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🐢 9 months postpartum and I have a lot of work to do to get back to where I once was, but today I’m feeling that runners high and knowing it will happen! 🦋🐣

😜 I’m absolutely LOVING my 20 minute program. I’m about halfway through and I’m seeing serious progress in my stamina and my MOOD! (Come again?) yes! My mood! I’m an anxious person and working out releases endorphins which stabilize my mood. Being a full time parent with a full time job is freaking hard! It’s always a better day when I get a workout in. Always! 🦄🥳💕

Stop trying to be perfect. Just take the first step and BEGIN! No one is an expert when they start something new. It’s ok to fail. It’s ok to suck! Just remember how blessed you are that you GET to take care of yourself. 💓

Ughhhhh why is it so hard to make time for self care when you have two kids? Just when I think I’m doing ok BOOM the baby gets the barfs and I’m up all freaking night with him. 😭 (He’s fine, no more puke, just wants to snuggle all night ☺️) The laundry is piling up in mounds, I’m exhausted and moody and life is moving super fast. These are the times when we skip out on self care and these are the times when we need it the most!

Ermagawwww I didn’t want to do it today! 😫I’ve been super stressed out and feeling a bit down lately but I knew I had to take time for ME. Home girl was in rare form. 👧🏻🤬Extra whiney and all up in my grill. I’m always a better mom when I blow off a little steam with a workout. I can’t imagine dragging her and her brother to the gym and dropping them in a daycare while I workout. That would eat up my entire day! It’s so easy and convenient to just pop downstairs and sweat my ass off for 20 minutes.

Whining aside, it was a pretty good one! Week two and I feel myself getting stronger and faster. Mama is coming back baby!🏋🏻‍♀️

💓RIP sweet Kim. You were beautiful, an amazing mother, totally hilarious and so much fun to be around. You loved so big and touched so many lives. We were all lucky to know you. My heart aches because you are gone too soon, but we will always honor your memory and help your sweet little girl to remember you as you were: funny as can be and full of life. We will never, ever forget you. Thank you for living and loving the way you did. We will miss you too much. Until we meet again sweet friend. ❤️

Yesterday’s workout antics. 🤷🏻‍♀️😆It’s never perfect, I always have someone breathing down my neck (children, dog, etc) but I always feel better when I get it done. Thanks Iz for supporting mommy in her fitness goals. She tells me, “Mommy go do your workout.” 😂 I’m guessing she’s noticed that it makes me nicer? 🤣🤣

Rolls on rolls. 🤤 Oh how I love this kid. He’s been protesting his purées lately and demanding finger foods like puffs, banana pieces and teething biscuits. He wants to do it all himself I guess? Faaaaabulous... I already have a kid like that. 🙍🏻‍♀️

Has anyone had success with #babyledweaning ? He’s only 8 months so I’m not weaning, just trying to keep my boy happy.

It feels good to sweat! I was NOT pushing myself hard enough in my last program... 🤦🏻‍♀️ Oops. That’s the beauty of my home workouts. I’m always changing them up, completing program after program and challenging my body in different ways. Don’t be stagnant! If you don’t even feel like you did anything you aren’t pushing yourself! 💪💪💪

Flash back to Izzie’s first and last manicure! Do you think she liked it? Smiles from ear to ear. 😂 Then she proceeded to bite her nails and all the polish came off. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Love this little lady too much!

Day one is ✅ I have to be honest. I HATE STEP AEROBICS. I’m a former dance and yet I still fall all over myself and crash into people in step class. True story. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I was a little nervous to try a workout program with a step but it was only 20 minutes so I decided to go for it. So glad I did!! @shaunt you are a genius. I even got a little teary eyed after hearing your #transformationstory

My biggest excuse is always, “I don’t have time.” Well now that’s BS because this new program only 20 minutes!!!!! Bahhhh!!! I didn’t want to post this because it’s soooo embarrassing but I know there is someone out there who needs to hear this! 😮 I have been so hard on myself about losing the weight after I had Michael. My whole pregnancy I was eating just for the fun of it. I gained around 50 pounds (I stopped counting) and I was miserable! My joints aches, I had sciatica, I had varicose veins in places you would not believe... 😂 It was NOT fun! After he was born I realized it was going to be a slower process and I started to get down on myself. I was embarrassed that it wasn’t coming off as quickly as I wanted it to and I felt guilty for being a terrible role model to my fitness groups. How can I motivate others if I can’t get there myself?! I decided enough was enough and went back to old faithful, my 3 day cleanse that always gives me the momentum to get back on track. It WORKED! It’s been about a month since I did it and I’m feeling more like myself again. I’m still eating too much, drinking too much and not working out “enough,” 🤣 But I’ve come to realize that I will never be perfect. It’s all about progress. Life with two kids and a full time job as a nurse is not easy but I have to make time for ME!! Seeing this photo side by side made me realize how far I have come. I’m not comparing myself to anyone else. This is MY journey!

In case I haven’t made it perfectly clear I’M STRUGGLING with maintaining healthy eating habits while breastfeeding. Like... BAD! It’s making me foggy headed, short tempered and my pants still don’t fit. (I refuse to buy new pants a size bigger, stubborn AF!)

It was time for me to re-set my system, so I’m doing a vegan cleanse. It’s only three days and you get to eat real foods the entire time. I’ve done this before and it works like a freaking charm! It’s difficult, but it’s only 3 days and when it’s over you feel amazing and you actually crave healthy food. ☺️ Swear to God! 😂

Today is the second day and yesterday went well! I’m still nursing so I’ve added extra calories and I’m not being super restrictive. So far I’m down two pounds of bloat and I’m actually doing ok. I can’t wait to see how well I feel after the third day. I’m so ready to get back on track with eating!

⭐️ Sleep training update! ⭐️ I guess I should call it a routine because I’m not really doing hard core sleep training with my sweetie. I’m not much good at letting my kids, “cry it out,” I think it’s so mean! That being said I will let him cry for a minute or two (I literally time it) but I can tell if he really needs me by the way his cry sounds. If it’s just a little whimper and he’s falling back to sleep I’m not going to rush in to save him (like I was doing for 6 months! 😂) I’m realizing that he can cry a little bit to blow off some steam and then he’s almost always ready to settle down.

It’s all about getting your kiddos into a routine and making sure they are eating plenty during the day so they don’t wake at night for feeds like my sweet Mike was doing.
