Red Kane on a beautiful snow day. Frozen creek with some sketchy slippage. Jason Oxley didn't find the line but Tate Baird made the climb out.

Ran into some actual motorcycles and rode with them for a bit. These were unsanctioned trails so not prohibited as far as I know.
Sometimes your GPS hallucinates. This is mostly an out and back trail. So you should see the path follow the same route back, but instead watch the randomness and pay attention to the speed, especially towards the end where we see this cyclist top out at 94 mph briefly. 🤣✌️🤩

🎥 Full Trail Section Video — Parks of Aledo “The Lakes” (Purple on Strava) 🚴♂️🌿
Just uploaded a complete recording of the “The Lakes” section at Parks of Aledo — this is the loop that shows up as purple on Strava. If you’ve ever wondered what this section actually rides like from start to finish, this video gives you the full picture.

📍 About The Lakes (Purple Loop):
This is the most beginner-friendly section of Parks of Aledo with less overall elevation than other parts of the system but still a good taste of the other sections. It’s genuinely fun and a great confidence-builder.
🚴♂️ Why it’s still a good time:
• Smooth, flowing singletrack that’s easy to follow
• Lots of optional kicker rocks and small drops — totally ride-around if you want, but fun to hit if you don’t
• Playful line choices that let you dial things up or keep it chill
• A great warm-up lap or entry point for newer riders
This section proves a trail doesn’t have to be steep or gnarly to be enjoyable. Whether you’re new to MTB or just want a relaxed, playful loop, The Lakes (Purple on Strava) delivers.
Give it a watch and let me know what features you’d hit — or skip 😄

Cross Timbers Super Challenge yesterday!
In January some of us completed the original challenge of 32 miles with 5000 feet of climbing. And now finished out the year by completing the new and improved super challenge.
42 miles.
~6,000’ of elevation.
From sunup to sundown.
Winter Solstice= shortest day of the year.
10 mountain bikers total
• 2 women — the first two ever to complete this challenge 🙌
• 3 e-bikes & 7 all-me bikes 😆
• 2 hardtails
• 1 rider completing it for the third time
Four hours of round-trip driving just to get there and back.
Some say this is harder than the 100 miles of Judgment Day.
Those people are correct.
Only 20 people had completed this challenge before our group.
A few trail spills, plenty of suffering, zero ambulance rides — and everyone finished 💪
Huge thanks to Jim Hall, curator of this incredible trail system.
What a day. What a ride. 🚵♂️🔥

River Legacy (Everything but EKG) — North Arlington
This is my first full-length trail video and my first run with the Insta360 X5 on a chest mount. Trail was moving fast, temps were perfect, and I’m looking for real rider feedback.

👉 What needs fixing?
Quick heads up: I’m Type 1 diabetic, so you’ll hear me call out blood sugar readings during the ride. It’s something I monitor closely on every ride, especially on longer or faster laps.
There is a crash in here 😅 — very similar to the one Tate posted yesterday. Same section, same kind of slide-out. Apparently that spot was hungry.
If I use your suggestion, I’ll tag you in the next video.
Appreciate any likes, follows, and shares to help this channel grow.
