[05/17/19] Hawthorn Ridge is open for play today Friday May 17th, we only received 6/10's of an inch of rain overnight. The carts are out and ready to go. The weatherman forecasts the rain to stay North of our location today.
Just in case you aren't aware the water from Pope Creek receded off of the 14th fairway later that afternoon on May 1st, so Hawthorn Ridge is in excellent shape to play some spring golf.
If not for the pictures posted on face book, no one would suspect that the creek had overflowed it's banks.

[04/28/19] Next weekend Saturday, May 4 is the lyme disease awareness golf outing. They are still looking for foursomes to participate in this wonderful golf event to bring awareness of Lyme disease and all of its evil. Hawthorn Ridge is proud to announce that they have taken delivery of 55 new carts for your golfing pleasure starting this 2019 season.
Also I can report that Dave Medhurst has inspected the golf carts and gave his seal of approval. They come complete with a fold down windshield a club cleaner and ball washer on board every cart!!!! So make plans to get in lots of golf when the weather finally warms up this 2019 season.

[01/07/19] The weather forecast does not look good for tomorrow or the rest of the week at Hawthorn Ridge so I guess we will be closed for now.
Looking at the Hawthorn parking lot you would never know it was January 5th 2019 and golfers were playing in 50 + degree weather. We will be open Sunday and Monday around 11 a.m. weather permitting.

[01/03/19] Hey all you area golfers pay attention to the weather this weekend we may be opening for some January golf at Hawthorn Ridge
11 golfers took advantage of the warmer temps yesterday and this is a picture of my foursome minus me Gary Baker. Who knew we would get to golf on December 26th.
17 golfers enjoyed what may be the last good golfing day of 2018 but who knows what the weather may bring between now and January 1 so keep an eye on the weather and if it’s a nice pleasant day 50° or better we may be open again.

[07/16/18] Saturday July 14th Hawthorn hosted the local VFW Post # 1571 annual fundraiser golf tourney with 36 teams. (a full house with 2 teams on every hole). The championship came down to three teams knotted at 58 ( 14 under par ). The tie breaker went to team Kyle McEwen. Congratulations to all and Hawthorn looks forward to hosting again next year on July 13th 2019. ( the second Saturday in July)

[06/28/18] Not only are the guys getting holes in one at Hawthorn Ridge now the ladies are joining in on the fun. On Wednesday June 27th Holly Lamkin from Aledo aced hole # 17 from 118 yards out and it was witnessed by Sam Miller, Doug Lamkin and Brad Morrison.
