World Series Champions!
Congrats to these soon to be young men!
All of this would not be possible without the following:
1. God! (Grateful for the opportunities he gives us on a daily basis!)
2. Great parents that allow us to push and challenge these young boys.
3. Great volunteer dads that show up each week allowing us to get more work in than we can on our own as coaches.
4. Boys that have a love for a game and the willingness to work and get better!
5. Coach Bowen and Coach Hastings and the Silo Rebels family. Their hospitality, and the high school boys loving and pushing on our kids in a long week of camp. This allowed the boys an insight into the culture and work ethic needed to be a champion!
I’m sure there is more than I can think of, but this team is grateful for it all. I look forward to seeing what’s in store for them as we continue the process of this culture that we have started! It’s just the beginning and looking forward to the ride that follows!
Great job fellas!!!

How does seven-time All-Star Mike Trout stack up to Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle???
Let's head to the tale of the tape!

Some of you know that I’m a Patriots fan. But, more importantly a fan of culture! That demands discipline, hard work, focus, respect, and love for one another including our opponents! My select teams are on a crash course to these very same lessons. But, in the end they will define the young men they will become! For those complaining about Tom, the Patriots and the “boring” Super Bowl, I want to leave you with this: Make sure to pay attention and understand that you are being given the opportunity/privilege to watch greatness unfold before your eyes! To pass down to your children or grandchildren that won’t be able to see them live! I had the privilege of watching some of the greatest basketball players of all-time hands down that believed in competing against one another and not “stacking talent” if affordable to win championships! Michael, Magic, Larry, Kevin, Pierce, Kareem, Isiah, Bill, Karl, Stockton, and so many more went toe to toe and it was exciting! Not the no-defense league we watch today! Be grateful and cherish these epic sports moments if you’re a true sports fan! Don’t be so quick to change the channel, app, social media platform, sports team, school, etc like our society is shifting towards and miss out on some great things!
When it comes to greatness, "Bill Belichick...stands alone."

Yesterday would have marked the 87th Birthday for probably my favorite player to never have seen play in real life! Arguably the best switch hitter to play the game! He was just a good ol’ boy from Oklahoma and hustle bound player, Mickey Mantle if only I could have seen you play! For my youngsters out there that watch the Manny antics and others, please do some research and look up some of the greats that played like there was no tomorrow!
I love Harold Reynolds and he is spot on with this! I’m not a fan of Puig at all because of his antics! I was watching this last night thinking the same things Reynolds talks about. I never threw 95 but he would have gotten all of 85-87 at the time! Haha....Never forget to respect the game!!!! If not then don’t whine about how he might hurt you and your career when you get smoked!
Did Puig's at-bat flip a switch in Jeremy Jeffress?
MLB Tonight looks at their interaction in the 9th inning of NLCS Game 3.
I remember seeing him when he was with the Angels as a kid. I remember thinking, “WOW! How does he do that? “. This just goes to show that with a little hard work you can truly make things happen!
25 years ago today, Yankee pitcher Jim Abbott, who was born without a right hand, tossed a no-hitter against the Indians at Yankee Stadium. This is awesome ⚾️❤️
Congrats to the Silo Rebels Baseball team on another State Championship!!! Great job Coach Bowen and Coach Hastings!
[10/04/18] Good luck to the Colbert Lady Leopards softball and the Silo Rebels Baseball teams as they compete in the State Tournament today! Bring home the gold back to Bryan County!!!
Proud of Bryan County Baseball and Coach Bowen! Good to see someone that is interested in the growth of young men the way he is! Even when it may not be the most popular approach.
Veteran Silo baseball coach Billy Jack Bowen reached a milestone Saturday in a coaching career that has spanned more than three decades
Bowen recorded his 2,000th career victory as the Rebels downed Latta 10-1.
He has directed Bokchito, Rock Creek and Silo baseball programs along the way and brought home to Bryan County eighteen state titles in baseball.
Bowen picked up victory 2,001 Tuesday as the Rebels downed Caney 11-1.

Before you hit the field with your kids this weekend, listen to Joe Girardi and Jim Thome discuss their approaches to being a baseball dad.
The role of the parent. Let the coaches analyze their play. If you must, always resort to the 24 hour rule, where you can talk about the performance and not belittle it. Let the emotions subside as much as possible.
Parents: After your child's next athletic event instead of analyzing their performance... try saying "I love to watch you play." and NOTHING else.
Love this guy! This is perfectly said!
Great info. Parents please read!

footballscoop.com The name Tony Robichaux should sound somewhat familiar.
