I want to show you something small that changed how I take care of myself. šš½āāļø
I fill out the Health Tracker in my journal the morning after. So today is the 29th, and Iām sitting here recording how yesterday actually went. Itās the sleep that makes me do it this way. I canāt really log how I rested until Iāve slept, so I let the day close all the way before I capture it, and then I journal for the day ahead. One cup of earl grey tea, one quiet moment, yesterday written down and today set. āļø
Hereās what Iāve learned from doing this for a while: the tracking matters so much more than it looks like it does. When you write down how you slept and how you ate and how your body actually felt, you start catching patterns you would have talked yourself right out of noticing. š It isnāt only me either. In one of the biggest weight loss studies ever done, the people who kept a daily record lost twice as much as the people who didnāt, and what the researchers pointed to was simply the act of paying attention.
Thatās the whole reason this part of Eight Moments exists. A few honest minutes in the morning to look back, and then move forward a little clearer than before. āļø

What if 75 minutes could shift the way stress lives in your body?
Slow Flow Into Mindfulness is a practice built around breath and intentional movement. The kind that regulates your nervous system, lowers cortisol, and gives your mind and body a chance to reset. It is exactly what Mental Health Awareness Month calls for.
And this class goes further than the mat.
I am teaching this donation-based class in support of International Justice Mission , an organization working around the world to rescue victims of trafficking, restore survivors, and strengthen the justice systems that protect vulnerable people. Right now, an estimated 50 million people are living in exploitation. IJM is on the ground doing something about it.
Your breath, your movement, your presence. It all counts. And your contribution helps someone else reclaim their safety and rebuild their life.
Join me on May 30, 2ā3:15 PM at CorePower Yoga Falls Church VA . Sign up on the CPY app. Every dollar goes directly toward IJMās work.
Visit ijm.org to learn more about IJM and what your support makes possible. Link to donate to the fundraiser directly is in comments š

What if 75 minutes could change the way your mind feels inside your body?
āSlow Flow Into Mindfulnessā is more than a yoga workshop⦠Itās a reset for your nervous system, a breath of clarity in the middle of Mental Health Awareness Month, and a moment to remember what it feels like to come home to yourself.
And this time, your presence does even more
Weāre moving in support of Leaving the Jar , a nonprofit helping victims of human trafficking find safety, healing, and a path forward.
Your breath matters. Your wellbeing matters. And your participation helps someone else reclaim theirs.
Join me for this donation-based class on May 30, 2ā3:15 PM at CorePower Yoga . Sign up on the app. Your contribution goes a long way in helping someone rebuild while you also pour back into yourself. A true win-win!
There is not a single person on this earth who doesnāt face challenges and stresses. The key is not to let these challenges consume you, and to know that you can always lean on a grounding principle to help carry you through. What is your one thing that grounds you? Have you invested in this grounding principle recently?

This has been such a steady guide and catalyst for me to see change in my own life and to also encourage others. When I published the Eight Moments Mindset Journal in 2024, I didnāt realize how much of an influence it would have on me and those around me. I thought of it as a creative outlet. How Iāve used it over the past two years has been a blessing. Journaling has been a way to get my jumbled thoughts on paper, to track my progress on personal and professional goals, and most importantly to help myself grow across mindset traits like consistency, resilience, mindfulness, and gratitude. Itās so healing to be able to do this for myself. Iām also inspired by seeing how it amplifies othersā lives. š¦
