Attn CCK family: I would like to remind you of Will Clift's (my grandson) benefit tonight at 7pm (St. Philips, Melbourne, KY). Will plays for the Wildcats. In February (2018), he was diagnosed with Stage 2 Lymphoma. It has been a fight. He was received treatments, including Chemo, over the past several weeks. Despite the pain, weakness, stress and sadness, Will has never let his spirits down. Today, Will has claimed victory over this horrible cancer. His doctors reported from the last scans, "cancer free". But, he must continue the remaining chemo treatments. Will said one of the things that bothered him most, was not being able to play baseball this season. If that doesn't display character and strength, then I am lost. We hope you can join us tonight and support Will's continued recovery. Thank you so much, Coach Combs Wildcats

[05/13/20]   Parents

For the past 2 days we have had meetings with the coaches to chat and give them our new dates for the season. Your coaches should be reaching out to you this week to pass the information. We understand this year IF we get to play baseball it is going to look different in dugouts, on the field, and even for spectators. Below is the Letter from our President of Knothole with the new plans for our season. Keep in mind that there is a date of June 6th start for only the Ohio side. We will keep our dates according to our governor of June 15th start. Again all of this is subject to change with information giving out on a daily basis from our Governor. Thank you all again for your patience and understanding as we get through this together.

Directors, Coordinator, Coaches and Parents,

On behalf of the Knothole Baseball Board, I want to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during this unprecedented time. Knothole Baseball continues to follow the guidance provided by our state government and health officials as they begin their phased approach to re-opening Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana for youth sports. Based on the latest updates in terms of public gatherings, organized youth sports and sporting events, we need to push our start date back to June 6, 2020.

Due to each state having different guidelines, please make sure your state and local government has approved the start of organized youth sports in your area. Our top priority is to provide the opportunity to play youth baseball in a safe and healthy environment for our players and their families.

At this point, we are waiting on more information from government officials. Our board members are committed to meeting immediately following news that confirms our start date to finalize our schedule and other details for this unusual 2020 season. We will keep everyone updated as more information pertaining to youth sports is provided. I appreciate everyone’s support of Knothole Baseball and youth sports.

Sincerely,
Jeff Wiles

I hope everyone is staying healthy in this time of need. We had another board meeting last night to discuss plans for this season. Our plan as of right now is to start May 23rd for 8U and up 7U and down will start May 29th. If anything changes with the “Stay Home” order we will then discuss a new plan of attack. The President of Knothole wanted me to share this letter to our Baseball community. Thank you all for your continued patience.

Our New timeline for the season.

Parents thank you for being patient in this Uncharted time. Attached is a letter from the President of Knothole with the plans for our baseball season.

[03/12/20]   Parents. We are extremely sorry if you have not heard from a coach yet. This might mean that your child is being placed on a new team that is being formed. This year we had a high number of new player registrations with some local baseball clubs closing and Tball organizations shutting down. We should have everything completed by this week and you should hear something by the end of the weekend. I will put out a separate message stating what to do if you haven’t heard from a coach.
We are excited to get the season started, especially since we’ve had a glimpse of the change in weather. We appreciate your patience during the registration process.
