What a battle at Regionals! Our Girls Varsity fought hard and finished 8th out of 11 teams in a competitive field.

Individual results out of 53 bowlers:

Sienna Chomicz — 50th
Brooke Wood — 53rd

The Boys Varsity brought the energy, finishing 5th out of 12 teams in a stacked field.

👏 Huge shoutout to Ethan McConnell and Carsen Cooper for earning Top-7 finishes and punching their tickets to the State Finals in Jackson next Saturday!

🎳 Ethan was on fire, averaging 215 with games of 200, 236, 224, 178, 238, 215 for an incredible 1291 series.

🎳 Carsen stayed locked in, averaging 200.5 with games of 189, 189, 247, 162, 214, 202 for a strong 1203 series.

So proud of the effort, fight, and teamwork all weekend. Almont showed up and represented! 💪🎳

This weekend, several of our bowlers were in action at a couple of tournaments and represented us extremely well.

On Saturday, at the Youth Baker Doubles Tournament at Strikers, we had two teams advance to bracket play. Ethan and Emerson McConnell teamed up for an outstanding run, finishing in 2nd place, while Caleb Ross and James Adamek also had a great showing, earning 3rd place.

Sunday night featured a Youth 9-Pin Individual Tournament at HideawayLanes, where we had three bowlers reach the top four for bracket play, Carsen Cooper, Nick Vigiletti, and Caleb Ross. Nick and Caleb battled their way to the championship match, which ended in an incredible 205–205 tie. The title was decided with a one-frame roll-off, where Nick knocked down 8 pins, and Caleb sealed the victory with a clutch strike.

A special congratulations goes out to Carsen Cooper for an amazing performance, including a perfect 300 game and a 831 series in qualifying Sunday night!

Great job to everyone who competed, we’re proud of all of you.

Today’s bowling fundraiser tournament was a huge success! We had 54 bowlers compete, with the top six series advancing to match play.

Match play consisted of a one-game roll-off, with the top three scores finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Almont at Richmond Bowling Recap

There was no junior varsity match held today.

The girls' team experienced a 26-4 loss.
After losing the first baker game by six pins and the second game by eight pins, the girls were at a 10-0 disadvantage. Despite facing an uphill battle entering match play, the girls managed to secure four of ten head-to-head points but ultimately lost both game series.

Notable performers for the girls included:
Vanessa Steinhaus, with games of 146 and 87
Sidni Brinker, with 131 and 77
Sienna Chomicz, with 95 and 84
Emma McConnell, with 86 and 84
Brooke Wood, with a 56
Sarah Beebe, with a 55

The boys' team secured a 22.5-7.5 victory.
The boys excelled in both baker games, establishing a 10-0 lead. Although North Branch pushed hard to mount a comeback in match play, winning the first head-to-head series, our team successfully held them off, winning the second series and totals for a final score of 22.5 to 7.5.
