I have to say, unsolicited 5 Star reviews rank right up there with bullet hard alpine granite, champagne powder, and bluebird skies. 26 years as a guide and I still love my job!
Since 1998 we have guided 1000s of participants in the North Georgia area and beyond. AMGA trained and certified staff. Licensed and insured. 100% safety record.
Licensed and insured. 100% safety record- no client under my care has ever suffered so much as a minor injury. Since 1998 we have guided 1000s of rock climbing trips in North Georgia and beyond.

This group scored some great climbing weather!
Received an email today from a client (who happens to be a teacher) who’s family I guided earlier in the week.
I am a few months into my 25th year guiding and I’m so glad to hear that the passion for what I do is still evident.
I LOVE my job. And I believe if you’re going to do a job you should give it your very best every single day. Be a pro.
“Thank you for the kind words and thank you for making our first climbing experience such a wonderful one. I truly can’t imagine the day would have gone as well with anyone else. It’s surprisingly uncommon to find someone with so much passion for what they do who is also able to share that knowledge in such an effective way. You are a phenomenal guide and teacher, and it’s clear that you love what you do. On top of that, I appreciate how you interacted with the kids in such a respectful and encouraging way. You talked to them like the capable people they are instead of dumbing things down. We are already talking about when we can plan another trip with you.”

It’s pretty hot and humid here in Georgia in the summertime but the high temps at Linville are typically in the 70s. Contact me if you want to book a weekend or weekday of awesome multi-pitch climbing in the NC High Country.

Just an FYI for Georgia climbers- if you plan to climb at Lost Wall or Rocktown it just got more expensive. Both properties are on a Georgia WMA(wildlife management area) and require each person that enters have a valid permit. This used to be the GORP pass, which was $5 a day or $28(IIRC) for a year pass. The GORP is gone.
The least expensive permit now is the $10 per day per person “Lands Pass”. Note that if you have a valid Georgia fishing license or hunting license those also allow you access to these areas.
If you frequent these areas more than a couple times each year it’s more cost effective to get the yearly Lands Pass for $30. Note that rangers do occasionally patrol both Lost Wall and Rocktown asking to see permits. Happy climbing!
