One last comment :) I was trying to be very careful to thank everyone in my last comment and I left out three very important people. First: Naldo Esparza who helped me with whatever I needed and gave me lots of guidance. Also for His support at almost all the practices and games even though he didn't have to. Second Manny Rodriguez who was our defense gurou came in this year and helped us out of some jams and helped us qualify for state. And last but not least, Dalton Degraffenreid our "talented"offensive coordinator who, with his help, got us as far as we did. He's got a bright future in coaching is he chooses to follow that path. Because of these guys, We were a better team.

Well sports fans we give it all we had Friday. We were beat in the second round of the consolation bracket. The team fought valiantly and played hard but came up short in the end. I have no regrets and I know they don't either. I would like to thank each player for their contribution to the team and your countless hours of practice and play. I would also like to thank all the parents and fans who supported us along the way from start to finish. For those of you who supported us financially....... thank you, thank you, thank you! It was a good tournament and Crane was represented well thanks to everyone. Lastly thanks to my beautiful wife Cindy who did so many things that helped in countless ways. We couldn't have done it without you! I love honey! :)
We played our 3 pool games today. Despite good play by the team, We come up short and lost all 3 games. We play in the consolation bracket tomorrow. First game is at 8am against Wellington. Hopefully we can make a run to capture the Consolation bracket trophy.. There will be some tough games for us tomorrow. We appreciate the fans! You guys were great! See ya'll tomorrow.

It's been a great couple of weeks for the 7on7 program. We had our first league night last Tuesday. All four Crane teams performed well. The Crane 3 and 4 teams faced off twice and the second game went into triple OT. Our Jv beat Iraan's Jv and then come up short against Mccamey's varsity. Crane's varsity topped Iraan's varsity by several TDs. Last night Crane's varsity traveled to Odessa and faced Monahans and Midland High. We were victorious in both those matches, outscoring our opponents by a total of 77 to19. Good Job Boys! Tomorrow night will be our second league night beginning at 6pm. Please come out and support us.
Due to the Graduation setup at the football field, we will not practice again until Monday at 7PM
Yesterday we went to Alpine to compete in a qualifying tournament. We won all three of our pool games. we defeated Greenwood,Pecos and Iraan. Our defense allowed only 21 pts in those three games. We then defeated Ft.Stockton 33-13 in the semi-final game. When it came time for the championship game, both Alpine and Crane opted to decide the winner by a game of "Rock-Paper-sciccors" Oscar Murgia led the way to give us the victory and Medal. Congratulations to the Players and Coaches and to Alpine.
