WV Storm 9U competed in Turf Wars II this weekend. The weekend started off tough and the boys improved throughout the weekend. We played some tough competition and finished the weekend with a great game with lots of fielding and lots of hitting. The growth and grit throughout the weekend was impressive.

Game Ball for Day 1 went to Gage. He pitched a good game and brought his bat this weekend.

Game Ball for Day 2 went to David. He hustled all weekend and hit a great triple in the last game.

Tournament MVP went to Mikey. Mikey always shows up with heart and makes important plays as catcher. He also has a great bat that helps us in every game we play, including this weekend.

Great job Storm! It is amazing watching you all grow!

The entire WV Storm Baseball Club family extends our deepest condolences to the Rampage family on the heartbreaking loss of Gunner Howard.

There are no words that can ease a loss like this. Today, we stand with Gunner’s family, teammates, coaches, and friends as they navigate an unimaginable time. Baseball creates bonds that stretch far beyond the field, and the youth baseball community mourns alongside you.

May you find comfort in the memories, strength in one another, and peace in knowing that Gunner’s impact will never be forgotten.

From all of us at WV Storm, our thoughts, prayers, and love are with the Howard family and the entire Rampage organization. 💙⚾

Rain couldn’t slow down the storm this weekend. ⚡️

The boys battled through a wet, gritty weekend and came up just short, but the fight never stopped. Toughness, energy, and effort showed up every single game.

Huge shoutout to MVP Briar Stowers for absolutely RAKING at the plate this weekend:
🔥 3 Triples
🔥 1 Single
🔥 A true inside-the-park HOME RUN

Briar was electric every time he stepped in the box and set the tone for the Storm offense all weekend long.
