We have decided that we are not going to open the lake until this COVID-19 pandemic is over. While it is outside and would probably be safe for our customers my concern is with my Dad. He is the one that would be out there when we have customers and given his age, we just don’t want to chance it.
We appreciate all of you, stay safe and we hope to see you when this is over.
Great fishing today.
We restocked our lake yesterday so we’ll be closed for a couple of weeks to allow the fish to acclimate. Thank you for your patience. Enjoy your summer.
Nice day for Mr Lucero at Gonzales Lake.
[12/26/16] Merry Christmas from Gonzales Lake! Have a wonderful holiday. See you in the spring!
Today's catch for Mr. Mike Kelly from Texas.
It's a great weekend for fishing. Come and see us at Gonzales lake. Our prices are $10 per person per day and $5.00 per pound for the fish.
We just wanted everyone to know that we stocked the lake today. Yay! Lots of fish for the summer. We will have to wait for two weeks before we open up again so that the fish have time to acclimate to their new home.
Thank you all for your support and patronage.
We are excited to be hosting this event today. Plenty of fun for children and adults. Come out and have lunch with us even if you don't have kids.
Look at all the fish they caught. Dominic Torres.
It's really windy and cold here in Amalia but we have some die hard fishermen who don't seem to notice. They are enjoying the day and catching fish.
Happy Fall to everyone!
We are closed on Saturday September 26th. Reminder: At this time of the year we are not open unless you call and let us know you are coming. Thank you for your patronage.

Beautiful day for fishing. Especially for this young man from Taos who just caught this 2 lb 8 oz fish.
A nice evening for some fishing.
[07/28/15] Gonzales Lake will be closed on Wednesday July 29th. Thank You!
Fishing has been great the last couple of weeks. It's been very warm and humid with a lot of rain. We've been getting rain in the afternoon, evening and/or night here in Amalia. There has been a lot of lightening so we aren't taking any chances with our customers. We will not let you fish if there is lightening going on. The good news is that it doesn't usually last very long.
Reminder that we will be closed on Saturday the Fourth of July for a private party. We will be open on the 3rd and the 5th so come out and join us.
It's a beautiful day for fishing!
Joaquin Arellano just caught this 2 lb 8 oz 20 inch fish. He is one excited little boy. Congratulations Joaquin.
It's very warm here at Gonzales Lake. Temps are in the upper 80's. The fishing has been pretty good and lots of customers have been really happy with their catch.

Hello! Just wanted to let you all know that we will be closed on Sunday June 14th.
Have a great day!!
Hello and welcome to spring (sort of) 😊. Today it snowed a little bit but it is slowly warming up.
We've been very busy so I haven't posted very much and while we haven't officially opened for the season yet we have had a few fishermen stop and catch a few.
We stocked yesterday so that we are ready for the summer. That means no fishing for the next few weeks. It's looking like we will be able to open about the middle of May.
We look forward to seeing you!
The lake is freezing over so therefore we are closing for the season. Thank you all for your patronage in 2014 and we look forward to seeing you again in the spring of 2015.

Trying to catch the record fish as evening draws near. Several people came out to enjoy the beautiful weather on this Labor Day Saturday.
Another beautiful day at the lake. With all the rain we've been getting everything is green and it's been a little chilly. We recommend bringing a jacket just in case the clouds blow in and reduce our temperature. Right now it is warm and sunny and the fish are biting.
