Sometimes when life gives you a winter sky full of lemons, you need a bit of bling to cheer you up. That's my philosophy anyway. In that spirit, I made a bracelet for my friend and colleague to cheer her up after a large dose of lemons.
Rose quartz, amethyst, freshwater pearls, and gold charms from Barcelona on elastic band.

I love an excuse to create something new. Tonight I'm finishing up a bracelet for a colleague. Pics to follow.

Special request completed from my BFF.
D is for Daniel. To sit next to the two J's I made for Joe and James.
My decoupage addiction isn't going away any time soon.

My first foray into button mosaics. I call her Autumn Cogs. She spins the wheel to winter while holding close the remnants of summer foliage.
Things I now know about creating button mosaics:
1-Do not expect to be precise with form.
2-When in doubt, layer. (this goes for pretty much anything in art and life)
3-Being brave with colour will be rewarded with depth and texture.
4-Give yourself A Lot of time!
5-Prepare to abandon your original design and go with the flow of the mighty button
6-My muse is a wicked mistress that keeps me up at night trying to solve the problem of covering exposed canvas (she doesn't limit herself to canvas, but her general wickedness seems relevant to the day of All Hallows Eve).
I expect there will be more attempts to harness my button muse in future.

Never one to shy away from a new creative adventure, this year I've tried my hand at making pumpkin arrangements with foliage found in my back garden and around my neighbourhood.
All of this was inspired by an afternoon learning about flower arrangement hosted by my friend's mum.
Total cost for my creative efforts ~£3.50. Not bad for an afternoons worth of fun.

I'm glad this sweet little cuckoo clock didn't sell at the last craft festival. I've grown accustomed to it.
