🏋️ FITNESS PRO TIP💪
SWEATING YOUR ASS OFF DOESN’T MEAN YOU HAD A BETTER WORKOUT.
Sweat is not your body's little progress report.
You sweat because your body is trying to regulate temperature.
💧Hot gym? You'll probably sweat more.
💧Humid outside? More sweat.
💧Genetics? Yep.
💧Clothing? Matters.
💧Workout intensity? It can influence sweating too.
But being absolutely fu***ng drenched doesn't automatically mean you burned more fat, built more muscle, or had a more productive workout.
And losing three pounds during a sweaty workout?
Congratulations. You mostly lost water.
Put the damn trash bag away.
A productive workout should be judged against what you're actually training for.
💪Trying to get stronger?
Look at load, reps, technique and progression.
💪Trying to build muscle?
Look at training volume, effort, progressive overload and recovery.
🫀Training cardiovascular fitness?
Look at duration, intensity, pace, heart-rate response and performance.
Stop judging your workout by the size of the sweat puddle underneath you.
You aren't trying to win an award for making the gym floor disgusting.
🔥 PRO TIP: Train for adaptation—not exhaustion.
Sweat is something your body produces.
🌟🌟Progress is something you fu***ng measure.
