My Pondered Thoughts:
Making something together does something to a relationship. I don’t know how else to explain it. It just brings you closer.

My mom and I have made so many things together over the years. Cakes, yoga bags, sewn projects, countless recipes. We troubleshoot together, we problem-solve together, and every single time, something shifts between us. Our bond just deepens a little more.

For her 80th birthday party, we made two cakes together. Hands in the bowl, laughing through the mess. And I thought, I don’t have to go very far to feel close to her. We just have to make something together.

Creating together is one of the most beautiful ways to love someone.

My Pondered Thoughts:
As I get older, coming back to familiar places like Toronto makes my senses come alive. I notice things I used to walk right past. And with that comes this quiet feeling of gratitude. Lately I’ve been exploring my Insta360, and it’s giving me a whole new way to capture those moments and see the world from perspectives I never considered before.

Something has shifted in me. As I step more fully into who I am as an artist, I observe everything differently.

Maybe that’s what becoming does. It opens your eyes.

Changing perspectives. Always.

I found this old cassette a few years ago, and when “How Will I Know” played, it took me back to the girl who was scared to trust love again.
I didn’t realize then that love shows itself slowly.
Time is what revealed the truth...through every season, he stayed steady and true.
That’s how I knew.
