Hall of Fame 5k on Fri Aug 31st is in need of volunteers to stop traffic at intersections along the course. Volunteers will meet at 5:15pm (on Bidwell between Delavan and Elmwood) to receive a road assignment, free t-shirt and post race party bracelet. Boys win their 7th straight ECIC title today outscoring 2nd place Lancaster 129-97. The team had overall ECIC champions crowned with Nate Davis in the 200 and 400 and Sam Schultz in the 3000 Steeple.
Boys and Girls both win the Section 6 Class B Team Title last night at Houghton. Boys scored 185 point to outdistance 2nd place Pioneer, who had 88. The girls scored 153 points, as Hamburg was 2nd with 99.

Boys 4x1 (42.20-williams, johnson, rivera, davis) win and set ECIC record. Boys 4x4-3:21 to win (johnson, nowak, campbell, davis), MaKayla Kasperek win the 2k steeple on a final 300m kick, Amaya Turnage comes up with a huge long jump and 800 to win the pentathlon, Chris Nowak wins the 800 (1:54) and 1600 (4:21), Nate Davis wins the 100 (10.70) and 200 (21.40), and Tirzah Peters advances in the shot with a throw of 39'11.5 and a 2nd place finish!
ECICs today and tomorrow at Hamburg. Boys have won the last 5 ECIC titles, girls 3 in a row and 4 of the last 5.
The boys finish 5-0 this season after defeating Hamburg Tuesday 107-34. This marks the 6th straight division title and undefeated season for the boys. The girls finish 4-1 after beating Hamburg 101-40. The girls are now 29-1 over the last 6 seasons. The team is continuing to prep for ECICs next weekend (May 26th and May 27th).

Boys and girls both win the section 6 team championship today at Houghton College. Girls score 100 to squeak by will south who finished 2nd with 91, boys finish with 136 to outdistance Hutch Tech who finished 2nd with 72.
The team is in Blacksburg VA for the Virginia Tech Invite. On day 1 boys 4x8 runs the fastest time in WNY this year (Schultz, Hamoudi, Johnson, Nowak)-8:25, and junior Nate Davis finishes 2nd in the triple with a school record jump of 45'10.5. That is Nate's 3rd school record in 3 weeks (Long jump, triple jump, and section record in the 300).
Record update from yesterday at section V vs section VI meet. Junior Nathaniel Davis sets SECTION record in the 300 as he wins in 35.06. He also sets school record in the long jump (had stood since 1979) winning in 23'1. Senior Brooke VanSlyke resets her school record in the racewalk-7:32-by 16 seconds.
Update to the teams indoor season so far (at some of the bigger meets):
WNY Relays- Both boys and girls won the WNY relays on 12/28/16, by scoring over 100 points. Almost every relay scored a point for the team (that means finishing in the top 6).
Kevin Dare Invite (Penn State)- Top 3 finishers from this past weekend at Penn State: winners- Sam Peterman (2:18)-girls 800 meters, Chris Nowak (1:55)-boys 800 meters, Girls 4x800 (9:39)(Kasperek, Hildreth, Parrizzi, Peterman), 9th fastest time in the US this season, boys 4x400 (3:27) (Johnson, Nowak, Hernandez, Davis, 9th fastest time in the US this year as well.
2nd place finishes- Amaya Turnage (5'1)-high jump, Arleasia McGee (38'9)-shot put, Nate Davis (21.95)-200 meters.
3rd Place finishes- Eric Johnson (50.49)-400 meters.
Upcoming- Sam Peterman and Chris Nowak will compete tonight in NYC at the Millrose Games Trials. This weekend we have the Brockport invite which always provides some good performances and the WNY Freshmen/Sophomore champs at Houghton College.
Indoor track kicks into high gear as we have 40 athletes competing at Ithaca today and 60 competing at Fredonia.
We are working hard-both those starting their indoor season and those finishing their XC season, We are excited for what the future will bring. Here is defending outdoor section 6 champion shot putter Arleasia McGee squatting 395 during test week-she got to 405.
