Attention Bowlers! Jim will be at the lanes, tomorrow (Aug. 14th) evening, to hand out last season's prize money, for whomever wishes to pick it up.
Head on down to Manor II at 6:30 or later, and Jim will be there to hand out the envelopes.
The upcoming season is still on hold for the time being, as bowling alleys still have not been given the go-ahead to open. We'll keep everyone posted.
Hope everyone's staying safe and healthy -- hopefully see you all soon!
LEAGUE PAYOUT UPDATE!
Hi everyone. First and foremost, I hope all is well with you and your loved ones, and everyone's healthy.
Jim & I came to a mutual decision, regarding league payouts for the year -- as unfortunately, we won't be finishing our season. It made the most sense to just keep things as simple as possible.
We're not going to have any "carry-over" money going into next season. Every cent that would have been paid out to the teams, combining standings prize money, banquet costs (There will be no banquet), and 50/50 money (Usually, we leave $300.00 out for drawings - when you put your losing 50/50 tickets into the plastic jug. That's not happening.), is going into the prize pool, based on the league standings, as of the final night we bowled.
The percentages of what team gets how much for 1st place, 2nd place, etc. is the same -- there will simply be more money awarded in that pool, this year.
As far as when the money is going to be handed out, that will take place at this year's league meeting, which is generally held in mid-to-late August. If anyone needs their money now, please reach out to Jim -- he will make arrangements to get the money to you.
So that's that -- it stinks that we're unable to finish our season; but I'm looking forward to seeing you all, when we get back at it for the 2020-2021 season. I'll post here when we have an exact date nailed down for the league meeting. Until then, please stay safe & healthy, everyone!

Reminder, everyone -- Friday is our Christmas party. We will have Moonlight Bowling, and Pizza & Wings will be provided by Manor II. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish or dessert, if you are so inclined.
The bowling will not count toward league standings, per the vote at the meeting, prior to the start of the season. Yes, you still have to pay your $14.00, in case anyone is wondering.
See you all, Friday night -- Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays, everyone!
Friendly reminder, folks -- league meeting, tomorrow (Friday) at 7:00 p.m. Free bowling after the meeting - hope to see everyone there!!!
Hi folks,
We have the start date for our upcoming season, as well as the date for our league meeting.
First things first -- our meeting will be on Friday, August 23rd, at 7:00 p.m. If at all possible, let's please have at least one representative from each team. After the meeting is over, there will be free -- yes free -- bowling -- in case anyone besides me is a little rusty.
League play will begin on Friday, September 6th, and run every other week. Lanes are turned on for warm-ups at approximately 6:50, and we begin around 7:00.
Here's to another great season -- looking forward to seeing everyone!!

Friendly reminder, folks -- banquet this Friday, May 17th. Open bar from 6:30 - 7:30, then dinner & awards, then another hour of open bar, afterwards. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Thanks for another great year!

We kicked off the season, last night -- good times had by all!
Forgot to mention one new thing for this year -- this is something that is done in the Wednesday league, that we thought would be fun to add to our league. If you purchase 50/50 tickets -- save the losing ones (which in my case is virtually all of them) and write your team name on the back of each one. There will be a large plastic container on the counter - place your losing tickets in there. At the season-ending banquet, we will draw a few individual tickets for some additional prizes. This will start on the 21st, as we forgot about it until after the drawing, last night.
So, as well as a chance to win the nightly 50/50 or the chance to win your team a free drink, you can also win a prize at the end of the year. Perhaps this may serve as additional incentive to participate in the 50/50, as the season goes along.
Friday's meeting went very well, and we're all set to go on September 7th. Some notable items ..
The cost will be the same as last year -- $13.00 per bowler, per night.
The handicap will be the same as last season -- 100% of the difference between your score and 210. If you were in the league last year, your year-end average will be your league average for the 1st 3 nights of league play.
The Christmas party will be on December 14th, and will be a "Moonlight Bowling" night, with cash prizes for Red Pin strikes, splits, etc. This will NOT count as a league night (A vote was taken to decide this) - but in case there's any confusion, yes, you still have to pay your $13.00, that night. This will not extend the season - we'll just have one fewer night of league play.
The final league night is May 3rd -- and the banquet is scheduled for two weeks later, on May 17th.
The music is ready to go -- those of you who know me, know that, whenever an artist dies, I generally lead off the night with one of his/her songs -- so you know we're leading off with some Aretha, on the 7th.
Let's have some fun, everyone -- good luck, and goooooood bowling!!!
-- Rick
