Taking a stab at some wishful thinking for the roster once spring training is done. I hope Christian Moore pushes the envelope and continues to flash the early success he had before last season’s injury possibly detailed his September call up. I know Kyle Hendricks is slated for a SP slot per the front office but I just don’t see it if he gets shelled during the Spring.

Today the Angels travel to Miami to open up the series against the Marlins. Chase Silseth takes the mound against young righty Alex Meyer at 3:40 PM PST.

I’m excited to start this 2nd season of the to continue to build this community of fans regardless of what goes on internally with the Angels. A big part of following a team is knowing at some point things will turn for the better. When 2023 ended it closed an era of watching Shohei Ohtani wear Angels Red but opened the door to a new crop of internal talent to take the spotlight. I look forward to what’s in store for 2024 either good or bad and hope that you do the same.

Game 2 of the series tonight at 4 PM PST features Tyler Anderson vs JP France. After the Astros stomped the Angels in game 1, the Halos will need to find a way to get to France early and establish a lead.

Additional roster moves are expected to be announced shortly.

Geefy slowly saving his season after a slow start and being shifted around Luis has been solid over the last 30 games.

What role does he play next season? He clearly has a hard time not having consistent at bats.
Should the Angels trade him in the offseason?

3 game set against the Astros starts tonight as Reid Detmers takes on Justin Verlander.
Huge series as usual with the Angels hoping to win this pivotal series and close the gap in the wildcard.

It’s been a rough road but its insane the amount of players/money we have in the IL right now. Fans of other teams can talk all they want about “wasting” talent but no team survives this many injuries. I won’t cover up how attrocious the play has been lately, that’s paramount to why the losing streaks have happened. A lethal combination of suspect coaching, injuries and lack of depth are detrimental to any sustained success.

Let’s enjoy this season for what it is, most likely the last for Ohtani in an Angels jersey.. Hopefully winning his 2nd MVP and solidifying himself as a future Angels HOFer.

Reid Detmers is tasked with taking the rubber match against Alex Manoah and the Blue Jays. Lineup is missing some of its spark with Neto possibly returning to the IL.

The offense needs to show up today if they have any shot at salvaging the series and continue to prove their a legit contender.

Money Mick leads the Halos in the rubber match against the Pirates at 1:07 pm/PST. Moniak extended his hit streak last night but will face a tough task against Mitch Keller who’s having a great season so far.

Tyler Anderson will take mound after a very quick showing in his last start leaving early due to cramps.
