When you’re missing your kid’s baseball so much that you make it part of your life anyway you can. ⚾️❤️
Painting a pumpkin is uber easy and lasts much longer than a carved pumpkin! 🎃
Not any just old paint will do, I’ll be showing you how to make this one on the blog very soon. Check the link in profile when I say “go”!
>> Have you ever opted to paint pumpkins instead of traditional carving?

“You can’t have a goal without determination, because without the determination the goal will die.” ―
Patrick L. Turner
I’ve always believed in the power eating right and consistent exercise. But the hard part has always been putting those things into actual practice 🤔
My son is almost 13 years old and I was still holding on the last few pounds of baby weight. I had tried and failed a million times to lose it. But, after more than a decade I had kinda given up on getting back to the pre-baby weight (sounds ridiculous to even call it “baby weight” at this point)
I started jogging on a whim for the 1st time in the summer of 2019, and actually liked it! To my surprise, I stuck with it. I felt great! My diet was a totally different story. So while I felt better from the exercise, I knew had to act if I wanted to SEE change. “Be the change”...you know? 😬
So, I began following a keto diet. It was hard for about 2 days and then I got into a rhythm. I don’t count a single calorie, in fact I probably eat more than I used to, just make far better choices now and it’s made ALL the difference. 👍🏻
Once the pandemic hit it was hard to go out for a run without getting mask-shamed (um, I have to breathe and stuff) 🤷♀️ so I decided to jump on the Peleton bandwagon instead, and I haven’t looked back!
Fast forward 6 months later and I’m down 10-12 lbs (depending on the day 🙄), I’m stronger 💪🏻 , and best of all, I feel more CONFIDENT than I have in years. I’m not quite at goal yet, and as slowly as I’m progressing, I’m sure it’ll be the end of the year before I can melt off the last 5lbs, but that’s ok.
The gift in all of this has been to learn to love the most difficult part of anything worth doing, THE PROCESS. In this instance I taught myself to eat better, make exercise a priority, and understand that good things come to those who wait!
I’m proud of myself for sticking to this journey, even when it was difficult. I learned that I CAN DO HARD THINGS🙌🏻
What’s something that makes you proud of yourself?

No one knows the battles you’re fighting, follow your own path, make your own rules, and stop making decisions based on other people’s input. Only YOU know what will bring you joy. Do it.
Unfriend, ghost, turn a blind eye. Anything and everything you need to move forward is provided for you for free!
Just let go of the haters in your life and create your own trajectory.
What is the first thing you need to do to release the burden of other people’s opinions in your life?

> > Anyone watching their kids play sports this weekend? Where do you live?
Here in California we are still only dreaming of Saturdays at the ballpark, or football field, basketball courts, or anywhere youth sports are played. While our kids do get to practice their sports, no games are allowed yet. Sigh.
Not gonna lie, I did enjoy the time off at first, but gurrrrl, that got old way fast! I miss getting up early to watch my son play sports, and I most definitely miss hanging with the other sports mamas and dads in the stands. You never know what you’ve got til it’s gone, right? Well this sports mom will never take Saturdays at the field for granted again. Ok?! So bring back our sports please! 🙏🏻
In the meantime, I can still wear my cute sports mama gear to practice, right? This sweet tee from in the perfect fall shade of mauve will do the trick as I wait patiently (sort of) for youth sports to come back to Cali.
Friends, I’m living vicariously through you! So go out and enjoy your Saturday at the fields, or wherever you go and share your adventures in the comments! 😊
