Sporting OC we will be playing Week #8 of the Spring/Summer on Sunday, May 31st, 2026 against DVO. NEZA in MODJESKA PARK (NUTWOOD & WOODWORTH RD.) at 12:30 p.m. (please be there at 12:00 a.m.). We will need EVERYONE to be registered for this game. No more permits from here on.
We are 4-2-1 after seven games, and we’ve yet to have a solid outing. We have not set the tone from our opposition because we have not been consistent and we have not been able to build the majority that we want.
Yes, our last 3-0 triumph (goals by Enrique Chacón [2], and an own goal off a José Soto cross) over Guerreros Z earned us our second consecutive win, but we did have a couple of uncomfortable minutes that made the middle of the game a bit unsettling. In the end our defense and goalkeeper managed to tighten up to get us the “W”. Let’s build on that.
No one is too big or too small for this team regardless of tenure, and service that has been devoted to the team. At the end of the day we are all in for the same purpose: victories and fun. When those two factors are taken out of the game, then it becomes pointless. This is the last time that this will be mentioned. No further warnings from here on.
Let’s be fired up, and ready to go as we cannot give away any handicaps. Let’s do this! The season flows at a quick rate.

As we’ve seen in the past, there is no margin of error for “slow starters”. We are capable of great things when we have FULL PERSONNEL and a POSITIVE ATTITUDE. The !
For this Sunday we will NEED:

•Referee fee is EXACTLY $10 per player for each game. Keep in mind that with the start of the new season, we all need to chip in $10 for team registration (for those who haven’t contributed already.
• We require full compromise and commitment from everyone, whoever joins please do it for more than two games. We really need to make something out of this season. Having a large roster and only have at most 16 people show up for the meaningful games is not condoned. Those who can’t make at least half of the games, please let me know.
WE WILL ALL NEED:
• POSITIVE ATTITUDE (MOST IMPORTANT ONE OF THEM ALL). We're not professional gentlemen. There is no need to be degrading our teammates when things aren't clicking.
• Let's be competitive all the way to the end.
• We need EVERYONE who is COMMITTED to be there ON TIME for proper warm-ups, set up the nets and have proper planning.
• UNEXCUSED absences will no longer be tolerated.
• PLEASE keep in mind that we will be wearing our:
• Orange & black shirt with white typography.
• Black shorts with orange trims.
• Solid orange socks (which will be provided for those who recently joined. Quantities are limited).
• Those who will not be making the game please notify the team so we can put together a backup plan.

Sporting OC due to Mother’s Day weekend we will not have a game this Sunday. We wish all of those wonderful mommas in our family a great time.

Sporting OC (IF WEATHER permits) we will be playing Week #5 of the Spring/Summer on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 against EL REBAÑO in TWILA REID PARK #2 (ORANGE Ave. & HALLIDAY) at 9 a.m. (please be there at 8:30 a.m.). We will need EVERYONE to be registered for this game. No more permits from here on.
Last Sunday’s 2-1 victory against Sporting Cristal (goals from Brian Zambrano and Enrique Chacón, and assists from Gabriel Venegas and José Miguel Chepe Bonilla) was a solid performance given that we had so many absences and we played a resilient team that didn’t want to drop a rivalry game. In the end we did win our fourth game in a row against Cristal, who always plays us tough until the very last minute.
