We thank all who supported ASH this summer. ASH was started June 7th, 1965. It is one of the longest running state organizations, and we, as a board, are so proud that with the support of our membership in 2021, we can once again recognize our

🐴 ALASKA STATE CHAMPIONS!!!! 🏆

please email [email protected] if any questions. We were fairly flexible coming back this summer. If a rider or horse isn't listed please remember:

*rider must be a member for equitation/medal
*horse's owner must be a member for performance

Our plan is to have an outdoor gathering in the spring for our banquet! If anyone has any other ideas, please send us a pm or email. Also we will be cutting off rule changes for our spring forum on 2/2/2022. Any rule changes received after that date will be discussed at the fall forum for implementation in 2023.

Thank you to everyone that attended the rated horse shows this summer. It was so exciting to see everyone again, and see the progress we have had in the past 2 years, as well as all the new horse and rider combinations.

Another thank you to everyone supporting ASH through memberships and recordings. We know that we are trying a new recording system for 2021, and we know there is some fine tuning to be done (as always), but in general the new recording system was a success!

We are sure everyone is chomping at the bit to see the year end results, and we just don't have them done yet. Lauren and I are still recovering from doing the shows this summer, and I have just not had time to do the points. I (Dana) apologize to everyone and appreciate the understanding as I just took on too much.

With the Delta Variant, ASH is looking to hold a forum and banquet in the spring. This allows us to be outside, and also allows us to purchase year end awards with after Christmas sales 🙂 When the time comes closer, we will get the word out.

But for now, the points will be done by December 1st (I will try for earlier, but know I can do them by then), and riders will have 30 days to dispute them.

For those interested in running for the ASH Board, please please let us know. Our board consists of Lauren Williams, Katheryn Focht and myself.

For those members wanting to submit rule changes, the process is now we accept rule changes at any time. We will not be holding a fall forum with the Delta variant, so we will schedule Zoom calls for members to discuss when/if we have rule changes up for discussion. Any rule changes submitted will be posted on the ASH FB page for a minimum of 30 days for public comments by members.

I think that is it? Again we appreciate the support and understanding, hopefully next year we will have more board members and be able to spread out the responsibilities among 9 people instead of 3.

Please drop a line below or send us a PM if you have any questions/concerns not addressed above.

Thanks again and hopefully everyone is enjoying our unexpected "extra" fall weather!

We are very excited about our summer horse show season, and the changes that ASH has made in this past year to better serve their members, both current and new.

The recording and memberships will take a bit more time this year, but we feel moving electronically will be worth it for our members. Please send an email to [email protected]. Honeybook will email you the rider recording form, horse recording form and ASH membership form. Those forms must be filled out and e-signed the day prior to when you want your points to count.

ASH will then send out an invoice on the 1st and the 15th of the month billing out the recording forms and memberships. You can pay this invoice directly (and even use the app!). Members will have 14 days to pay the invoice. If the invoice is not paid within 14 days, the effective recording date will NOT be the date you filled out the form, but the date of payment.

We know this is new, and more steps than we were hoping for with having to email out the invoices, but from all the programs we researched (and there were a lot), no program would let you pay without an invoice. If anyone knows of one, please let us know. We were hoping to have payment at the same time as the recording, but from what we have found that is a lot of money to set up, so we figured this is the next best option.

Please hang with us while we try it this year and see how it works and we can improve upon for 2022. We know it has been a difficult year for many of us, and we are really looking forward to horse shows, and moving our community forward. Please send us a PM if you have more questions or need more information.
