It's been a few years since she's represented Kenai Central, but the Big C is thrilled to welcome back Allie Ostrander as our guest speaker for 2026! Now a professional runner for Oiselle, Allie O still holds the most meet records at the Big C - four in total! She set three her senior year (3200m, 1600SMR, and 4xAlaska Mile), but she also holds the record for the Skinny Raven Laird Prosser Memorial Mile in a time of 4:41.03 🔥

The Pentathlon is always a Big C favorite. Just as the pentathlon is designed to find the best overall athlete, our goal is to select competitors based not only on their athletic accomplishments, but also academics and community involvement.
This year we have a very competitive field, as South High senior Makaylen King will return to defend her title. Hope to see you there!

Gate fee is $5 per day per adult. We have free entry for all students, children, and seniors over the age of 60.

Calling applicants for the Laird Prosser Memorial Mile at the Russ Edwards Big C Relays! (April 6) Applications are DUE March 27 - Especially those for the women's field!

Free registration for all and prize money for top 4 female and male finishers!

Featuring Alaskan alumni and other eager participants, this mile race provides a high level of competition for all those involved. If you are interested in competing in this year’s mile, please review the following and then submit an application!

Race Date and Time
- Saturday, April 6th at 12:40PM.
- Competitors shall check in by 12:00PM.

- The Dome

Registration
Closes March 27th.

Applications must include seed time since January 1st, 2023. Race or time trial is permitted.
Preferred Qualifying Times
- Male: Sub 5:00.00
- Female: Sub 6:00.00

Top 12 male and female times will be selected for competition.

Registration Fee: $0

Ages: Open to all high school graduates and older.

Prizes
- 1st Place Male and Female: $500
- 2nd Place Male and Female: $300
- 3rd Place Male and Female: $200
- 4th Place Male and Female: $100

Additional $500 to male or female finisher who breaks existing event record
