Dance Contempo is a student dance company in residence at Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School in Anchorage, Alaska.
Dance Contempo is a progressive company at East High School for Eastsiders who love to dance. Under the direction of Ariel Graham, dancers meet daily for company class and rehearsals. Classes are supplemented by visiting guest artists who give workshops, master classes, and set choreography for Contempo dancers. There are also opportunities for students to develop choreographic skills and selected student works are presented in concert.

That’s it for 2025! Dance Contempo will be back in January for more dancing! We ended the semester with a viewing of our fall show (thank you for your videography), a mystery dancer gift exchange, and revisiting some of the choreography we mastered the past few months 🎉

Last Friday evening the Dance Contempo Company performed to a full house in the East High Theater after inspiring elementary & middle school students in two daytime performances. It was a wonderful high energy day of dance and the best way to celebrate many months of hard work and dedication in the studio. Special thank you to Lauren Langford from for these amazing shots from our dress rehearsal!
