Be expansive, not restrictive.

If you’re on any social media for half a breath, you’ll come across something that preaches the importance of discipline versus waiting to be motivated.

On this Motivation Monday, I won’t say I disagree, but I will say that focusing on discipline or a routine can feel restricting. You’re stipulating when and how specific actions must be performed.

Focus, instead, on rhythms. Rhythms feel expansive, leaving room for creativity and experimentation in the way priorities are met.

And remember, sometimes the rhythm is less “marching in step” and more “posing triumphantly with your dragon.” 🐉✨

There’s something about picking out tomatoes still warm from the sun, chatting with growers who know their soil, and getting produce that didn’t fly across a continent to get to your plate.⁣

I’ve been repping House Strength Training & Protein with a side hustle in House Sourdough, aka Cooking and Baking, for years now.
Lifting heavy and feeding people? Core personality traits!!

Might tiptoe into House Plants & Birds, but let’s be honest — I can barely keep my basil alive and birds are way too noisy.

As for House Pickleball… I’ll leave that to the midlife crisis crew in coordinated outfits and unnecessary wristbands.

I’ll stick to showing quiet dominance in pool, table tennis, and badminton — with a swig in hand and zero wristbands in sight. 🍺

You’re not stuck. You’re exhausted.⁣
