Nothing here is about rushing.
Divers who reach this point usually aren’t chasing the next certification. They’ve slowed down enough to notice what most people swim past. Curiosity replaces urgency, and dives start to feel deeper — not longer.

Look at how settled everyone is in this frame.
Nobody’s vertical, nobody’s flailing, nobody’s chasing the line. You’ve got a small team holding position, doing what they need to do, and still having enough bandwidth to look around. That’s what “comfortable” actually looks like underwater, and it’s the part most divers are chasing even when they don’t realize it.
When your buoyancy and your teamwork are solid, the water gets quiet. The dive stops feeling like a task list. You’re present, you’re aware, and you can actually enjoy what you came for.
That’s also the point where a rebreather starts to make sense. Not as a flex, not as “the next badge,” but as a tool that rewards calm, disciplined divers with a different kind of dive. If Prism 2 has been on your mind for 2026, this is the foundation that makes it worth doing.

Some dives slow you down in the best possible way.
No rush. No checklist. Just clear water, good buoyancy, and the patience to let the moment come to you. Encounters like this don’t happen because of luck—they happen because divers learn how to move, observe, and respect the space they’re in.
This is what our travel and expedition diving is really about. Not just destinations, but learning how to belong underwater—wherever you are.

This is still Great Lakes diving.
Same cold water. Same visibility changes. Same focus on buoyancy, trim, and awareness. The difference is time — time spent getting comfortable enough that the wreck stops feeling like an obstacle and starts feeling like a place.
If you’ve stayed curious and kept diving, you’re probably closer than you think.

A lot of divers ask, “Can I do this kind of diving?”
Most people in these photos didn’t plan it early on. They just kept diving. Same Great Lakes water. Same cold. Same fundamentals. Over time, those skills stop being something you think about and start being something you trust.
If you’re already comfortable diving here, this isn’t a leap. It’s a continuation.

Sidemount diving gives you unmatched versatility — a single kit that works as a recreational setup or scales up for technical dives.
The Hollis Kantana 2 sidemount BCD is our go-to for challenging shore entries, remote locations, and trips where doubles or rebreathers aren’t practical.
Our PADI Sidemount course teaches configuration, gas management, buoyancy and safe entry/exit techniques so you leave confident and capable in the field. Want a kit that adapts to the dive, not the other way around? Contact Divers Incorporated or visit diversinc.com to learn more and enroll.
