NTX MMA Members & Families,
NTX MMA will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.
As a veteran-owned business, this day holds a very special and emotional place in our hearts. Memorial Day is more than just a holiday — it is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy every day.
We encourage you to take a moment with your families to reflect, remember, and show gratitude for those heroes and their sacrifices.
We will return to our regular class schedule on Tuesday, May 26th.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our amazing NTX MMA moms!
Today we celebrate the incredible women who do it all — the early mornings, late nights, endless driving, packed schedules, tournament weekends, pep talks, encouragement, and unconditional love that make it possible for your children to chase their goals both on and off the mats.
Your sacrifices often happen quietly behind the scenes, but they never go unnoticed. The discipline, confidence, resilience, and character we see growing in these young athletes is a reflection of the strength and dedication you pour into them every single day.
Thank you for being the heart of your families and the backbone of our NTX MMA community. Your support, patience, and love make a lasting impact far beyond the gym.
We are truly grateful for each and every one of you.
Happy Mother’s Day — and thank you for being Super Moms! 💐🥋❤️

We’ve got to talk about this…
Our kids are growing up in a world where screens are everywhere—phones, tablets, video games. And while a little is fine, too much? It’s costing them more than we realize.
Focus. Confidence. Discipline. Real connection.
That’s where the mats change everything.
When kids step onto the mat, there’s no pause button. No scrolling. No shortcuts. Just them—learning how to fall, get back up, and keep going.
Martial arts teaches what screens never can:
• Respect for others
• Control over emotions
• Confidence earned through effort
• The ability to face challenges head-on
You don’t build resilience with a controller in your hand.
You build it through struggle, sweat, and small wins stacked over time.
And here’s the truth…
Kids don’t just need LESS screen time—they need MORE purpose.
Get them moving.
Get them learning.
Get them on the mats.
Because the lessons they learn there will carry them way beyond the gym. 💪🥋

THIS WEEKEND IS BIGGER THAN WRESTLING.
NTX Wrestling is back on the mats Monday & Wednesday, and we want to strongly encourage all of our wrestlers to compete this weekend at the Gladys Barrientos Memorial Tournament at Anna High School.
This tournament is about more than medals.
It’s about legacy, family, and what this sport is really about.
Gladys Barrientos wrestled for Coach Stevens at Bishop Dunne and was a 2-time Fargo Qualifier and USA Wrestling All-American. She tragically lost her life in a car accident while in college.
For the last 15 years, Coach Stevens has continued to host this tournament in her honor so her name, her story, and her impact are never forgotten.
Gladys stood for family, wrestling, and community — and this weekend gives our athletes a chance to be part of something that actually matters.
If you’re part of NTX Wrestling, be there. Compete. Represent. Grow.
These are the events that build wrestlers — and more importantly — build people.
If your athlete plans to wrestle this weekend, let a coach know.
Let’s show up strong, support a great cause, and represent NTX the right way.

Consistency > Talent… every single time.
We’ve seen it over and over again at NTX MMA—
The kid who shows up twice a week, even when they’re tired…
The teen who keeps training through frustration, bad days, and plateaus…
They’re the ones who grow.
Not overnight. Not in highlight-reel moments.
But slowly, steadily… and then all at once.
Martial arts isn’t just about learning how to win.
It’s about learning how to keep showing up—when it’s hard, when it’s boring, when no one’s watching.
That’s where confidence is built.
That’s where discipline becomes identity.
That’s where real toughness lives.
So here’s the question for parents and athletes:
👉 What matters more to you right now—progress or perfection?
👉 Are we praising effort… or just results?
👉 And if your child stopped training today, what habits would they take with them?
Let’s talk about it 👇
We want to hear your thoughts—because this is bigger than the mats.
