Annapolis Angels Softball

This past weekend was about so much more than softball! Teams came together from all over to support our girl Maddie in her fight against cancer. All in different jerseys, but all playing for the same cause! Watching Maddie throw the first pitch at our games was truly inspiring and a great reminder of why we were all there - playing for our friend that wants nothing more than to be out on that field too. (And we know she will be soon! 💪🏼)

Both Angels teams battled and had strong performances throughout the weekend! Combined we had a record of 7-4, outscoring opponents 73-54. 14U even came home with silver finalist rings! Very proud of all our girls! 👏🏼💛

Thankful we were able to participate in this tournament to show our support for Maddie by doing what we all love. The tournament was well-run and a huge success! We love you #16!! Keep fighting! We’ll see you back on the field soon. 💚

What a tournament last weekend for Angels 14U! 💙💛

They battled their way to a finalist finish in the One-Day Momma Drama Tournament, showing grit & resilience and highlighting their ability to play lockdown defense and explosive offense all day.

The squad opened with a strong 7-4 win. Great way to start the day. The bats were batting and defense looked strong!

Game two brought the drama. Down by 4 runs, the Angels stormed back in thrilling fashion for a 10-8 comeback victory. Multiple players came through with clutch hits and the team collectively shut things down defensively to complete the rally.

The semifinal game was the most exciting game of the weekend. After falling behind 6-0 early, the girls refused to quit and exploded offensively to earn an incredible comeback win. The team fought all the way back to punch their ticket to the championship game.

Despite coming up short in the final game, this team proved what they are made of — toughness, heart, and belief in each other. They played as a team and every single player contributed! This group gave everyone plenty to cheer about all day long! 🔥🥎 Way to go girls!!

Maddie once wore our jersey and is forever part of our softball family. She’s now facing a battle far bigger than the game. She showed heart, toughness, and grit every time she stepped on the field, and we know she’s bringing that same fight right now.
