🇦🇹 A week of racing, breathtaking Alpine scenery and the unique Windsurfer spirit on full display!

The 2026 KIA Windsurfer European Championship has concluded at Union-Yacht-Club Attersee, Austria, bringing together 121 sailors from around the world for an unforgettable week of competition.

With a programme featuring both Course Racing and a spectacular Long Distance Race, sailors of all ages tested their skills on one of Europe’s most beautiful lakes.

Among the medalists were Olympic gold medallists Christoph Sieber (AUT), winner of A Group, and an impressive Women’s Fleet winner Olga Gorbatykh (USA), while competitive battles across all fleets showcased the depth and diversity of the Windsurfer community.

From Youth sailors to Windsurfer legends, the championship once again demonstrated what makes our class so special: great racing, lasting friendships and a shared passion for the sport.

Congratulations to all competitors and thank you to Union-Yacht-Club Attersee, the volunteers, race officials, sponsors and supporters who made the event possible.
