I think this is why who you surround yourself with matters so freaking much.

You start spending more time around people who challenge themselves, take chances, work hard, follow through, want more for their lives…

and eventually that starts to feel normal.

Then you do something hard.
You get a win.
Now you have proof that you can do more than you thought you could.

So you take another shot.

Then you get another win.

And suddenly you’ve created this loop where you keep building evidence that you’re capable of more.

That’s the part I’m feeling HARD lately.

The wins are happening in completely different areas of my life, but somehow they keep feeding each other.

And now I’m just like… alright, what’s next? šŸ‘€

I’m really freaking proud of what I’ve accomplished.

I lost 115 lbs and have kept it off for years. I’ve built a strong body that I genuinely love. I built my own business while raising 3 kids. There’s a LOT I’m proud of.

But I also realized over the last couple years that I got comfortable.

I wasn’t really challenging myself anymore.

I was still working out. Still taking care of myself. Still running my business. Life IS good.

But I missed having something that made me think, ā€œHoly crap… can I actually do this?ā€

So this year I started asking more of myself again.

And weirdly enough, it started with my fitness but spilled into everything else.

I got more organized. I became better with my time. My business grew. I became more present at home. I started doing things I’d been saying I wanted to do instead of just talking about them.

And now I’ve decided to go after something that is VERY far outside of my comfort zone. šŸ˜‚

I’m excited. I’m nervous. I have a LOT to learn.

But I’m WILLING to put in the work. I’m willing to learn. And I’m ready to be challenged again.

Because I’ve already seen what happens in the rest of my life when I expect more from myself in one area.

I don’t want to reach a place in my life where I decide I’ve done enough growing just because I’m already proud of how far I’ve come.

Anyway… I’ve been keeping what I’m actually training for a secret long enough... Stay close to find out Friday . šŸ‘€

You said you were training Thursday at 5.

Then your kid needed picked up somewhere.

Your husband was running late.

Work went longer than expected.

Now it’s 4:30 and instead of asking, ā€œOkay, when am I moving my workout to?ā€

you immediately decide your workout is the thing that gets deleted.

Now... I’m not talking about emergencies or pretending your schedule never needs to change... but you CAN ADJUST AND BE ADAPTABLE.

Move the workout.

Thursday at 5 becomes Friday at 6.

Your normal hour becomes 35 minutes.

The dinner you planned becomes something you can throw together in 10 minutes.

Plans change. I have three kids, a husband who’s gone for work, clients and a business. Mine change too.

But I adjust the plan instead of automatically deciding that the promise i made to myself is the least important thing on the calendar.
... you wouldn’t do that with everything else.

If your kid’s practice gets moved, you figure it out.

If you have a client appointment, you figure it out.

If somebody needs you somewhere, you figure it out.

I want you getting just as freaking good at figuring it out when the person you made the commitment to was you.

I stopped calling them ā€œcheat mealsā€ a long time ago.

Because what exactly am I cheating on?...

It’s food.

Some meals are going to have more calories than others.

Some are going to have more protein and fiber.

Some are going to be pizza and wings because that’s what I freaking wanted.

One meal doesn’t need a special name just because it wasn’t the most nutritious thing I ate that week.

I really don’t love the idea of spending 6 days eating ā€œgoodā€ so you can have one night where all the rules are off.

Because now we’ve made the foods you actually enjoy something you have to earn.

You were ā€œgoodā€ all week, so you deserve the pizza.

You stayed on track, so you earned dessert.

You worked out, so you can have the burger.

I don’t want food working like that in your head.

There are foods you’ll eat more often because they make you feel good, keep you full and help you reach your goals.

There are foods you’ll eat less often because they don’t do those things quite as well.

And there’s plenty of room for BOTH.

You don’t need to be ā€œgoodā€ before you eat pizza.

And you definitely didn’t ā€œcheatā€ because you ate it. 😘

You picture maintaining your results as finally being DONE.

Like you hit the weight you wanted and now you can stop paying attention to all this stuff.

But the version of me who has maintained a 115 lb weight loss for years still has standards.

I strength train 4x/week.

I pay attention to how much protein I’m eating.

I move my body.

I plan ahead when I need to.

I pay attention when my weight or habits start moving in a direction I don’t want them to.

& None of that feels like a diet anymore.

It’s just how I live.

And THAT is what I want for my clients.

Not spending January through April trying to undo what happened the rest of the year.

Not needing another ā€œreset.ā€

Not constantly bouncing between losing weight and gaining it back.

I want you to get to a place where taking care of your body is so normal that you don’t need a new plan every few months to get yourself back together.

maintaining your results doesn’t mean you stop doing the things that got you there.

It means you’ve built them into your life well enough that you no longer feel like you’re waiting for the day you can stop.
