Thank you thank you to the Otters of 2019! The Peghers finally got to use our new snowblower that you donated with the Flamingos. We miss you and look forward to swimming with you again in the future!
Runner friends,
Owen has created a virtual 5K to raise money for United Way’s Lebanon Community Fund which helps local community members impacted by Covid-19. The 5K is by donation only, give what you can, the money will go directly to the United Way community fund. Spread the word if you aren’t a runner you can walk or just donate. Thanks in advance and help me spread the word!

*you can run on your own anytime from 4/18/20-5/3/20. Remember social distancing while you run. 😊

Good evening Otter Family!

Mark your calendars for March 26th! We are looking to bring back an old Otter tradition- the Otter Outing! In past years, Otter families used to get together to play 18 holes of golf and then gathered afterwards to socialize. This was always a fun day to spend with swim friends off the pool deck.

While some details are still being finalized, we need to get an idea of the number of people interested in golfing. We are looking at either Fairview, Pine Meadows, or Tree Top for golf- we're hoping to keep it as affordable for families and as close as possible. Golf is open to anyone who enjoys playing 18 holes- Moms, Dads, and kids. If you are interested in golfing, please reply to this email by Wednesday evening with the number of golfers. We will look into where we can get tee times once we know the number of golfers.

Then, all swimmers and families will meet at the Cleona playground that afternoon. This will be a chance for winter families to pick up their team gift and for summer families to see swim friends and for all to get excited for summer swimming! The team will bring either cake or donuts (of course!) and we'll send out a sign up for other desserts, fruits, veggies, and drinks. We will send out a time once we know the tee times, but estimating around 1pm or so.

We are looking foward to celebrating a successful winter season (even without a home pool!) and anticipating a fun summer season!

See you on March 26th!

Thank you everyone who signup so far for Divisionals and All Stars.
The Divisional Volunteers are full, wohoo!!! (Still missing a girls official but that is usually hard to fill completely)

For All Stars we still need 1 girls timer, 1 boys staging assistant, 1 girls staging assistant, 1 girls team chaperone

If there is a good chance your child is swimming at all stars please signup ASAP!!! I have the volunteers that are currently signed up submitted, but we he All Star Director won't accept the list till we have all the positions filled. If we don't fill our positions our kids won't be able to swim. Please signup ASAP so our team is off the naughty list.

Please check your email for 3 important emails about Divisionals and All Stars!!!
Please read over the extra info for rules!!!
Also please signup to volunteer. We still need volunteers ASAP. Our swimmers will NOT be allowed to participate if we don’t fill our volunteer slots. Please go to our webpage under meet signups tab and select Divisionals and/or All Stars and pick a position to volunteer. Thank you!!!

Happy Friday All

I rarely reach out to Otter parents but we have a bunch of jobs still let to fill for the meet tomorrow. Please consider signing up.

Thank you!!

Divisionals entries are attached in your email. Please check your swimmer's entries and text Jim if there are any changes that need to be made by tomorrow morning- 717-270-7012. Be sure to include your swimmer's name.

Jim will update times after tomorrow's meet.

We need a few volunteers for Divisionals. Click here to sign up to volunteer at Divisionals.

Be there at 12:10, our warm ups are at 12:30, and the meet start is 1:00pm.

The address for the Ephrata pool is 130 S Academy Dr. Ephrata, PA 17522.

Plan for swimmers to be sitting in the gym during the meet. Bring blankets and chairs to sit on during the meet.

We desperately need more volunteers for tomorrow's meet. Swim meets cannot happen without parent volunteers. We are a smaller team this year. We have about 30 families participating in tomorrow's meet and about 30 volunteer slots. We need every family to sign up to volunteer for half of the meet. If your child is swimming tomorrow, sign up to volunteer. We are looking for more finish judge's, a line up lady, officials, and timers. If you have any questions about a volunteer job, reach out and ask.

Click here to sign up to volunteer for the Ephrata meet.

Reminder- if your swimmer is planning on attending the meet and becomes sick, please let Jim know- 717-270-7012. Be sure to include your swimmer's name. You can Zoom with Jim and the officials so that this meet can count towards your number of required meets for Divisionals.

We need Volunteers for Ephrata, Divisionals and All Stars. All signups are available in the meet signups tab above. I need to have them filled in by 6pm tomorrow night please!!! Even if you aren't sure if your swimmer will make it to All Stars, please signup. We can always switch volunteers around if needed. All working volunteers will get in free for Divisionals and All stars.

If your swimmer will not be swimming, please select the "Decline" option so that Jim knows that you won't be there. This very important to help him while he is preparing the lineup. Make sure to click "SAVE" once finished.

Online sign ups are due by Monday, February 14th at 6pm. After Monday, you will need to text or email Jim at 717-270-7012 or [email protected] with any last minute changes.

If you Zoom/Facetime with the coaches and meet referees to declare a false start that morning, then it will still count as a qualifying meet.

Thank you!

Good evening Otters family!

It's time to sign up for Divisionals! We are using the same online sign-up process that we have used in the past. If you do not plan on attending Divisionals, please select "NO" so that Jim knows you are not swimming and doesn't have to track you down to make sure.

We cap the end of each winter season with our Championship meets. On Saturday, February 26th, both Divisions in our league will host a Divisional meet. Every swimmer who swam in 3 or more meets is eligible to swim in Divisionals. There are no qualifying times for Divisionals. The results from both Divisional meets are combined and the top 16 swimmers and top 6 relays in each event move on to swim at the All-Star meet on Sunday, February 27th at Palmyra High School. If you cannot attend All Stars, you *MUST* let us know when signing up for Divisionals.

Our Divisional meet will be held at Cumberland Valley High School. Boys will compete in the morning session (8:30am meet start) and girls will compete in the afternoon session (approximately 1:15pm meet start). Each swimmer can swim a total of 3 events at Divisionals- 2 individuals and 1 relay or 3 individuals. Jim will decide who is swimming in each relay.

To sign up, click on each swimmer's name and select "YES." Check the boxes next to NT to select their 2 individual events. In the NOTES box, write their 3rd individual event and if they cannot attend All-Stars the following day. Make sure to click "SAVE" and repeat for each swimmer.

Divisionals Meet Sign Up Link
For new families, there is a video on the meet sign-up page that shows how to sign up for Divisionals

Use the notes section on the sign-up to add anything you'd like Jim to know or clarify any entries.

*The sign-up deadline is Monday, February 14th at 6:00 pm!*

We will need timer and officials volunteers from our team for Divisionals. The sign up will be available soon.
