This follows a summer where more than 20 college coaches watched OBA players: ✅ Take batting practice
✅ Participate in infield/outfield workouts
✅ Play games
✅ Meet directly with players and parents to answer recruiting questions.

16U Team

Plays 22 games exclusively on college fields, including games at UCF and Stetson University.

College coaches are in attendance at every game, providing incredible recruiting exposure.

Led Dr. Phillips and Apopka High Schools to three Florida State Championship appearances, including winning the 1996 State Championship at Dr. Phillips High School.

The coaching staff also includes former four-year collegiate players, including Pitching Coach Jon DeClue, who helped lead Florida Southern to the Division II World Series.

The Orlando Baseball Academy will hold its fall tryouts on Saturday & Sunday August 22nd & 23rd at Ocoee High School. Saturday will be a skills day and Sunday will be a game. All players will run the 60, field and throw from their positions, catchers will throw to 2B and all position players will get 10 swings. The pitchers will throw a 10-12 pitch bullpen all on Saturday.

Registration begins each day at 8:30am and the tryout will begin at 10am.

The 17U team (2027 & 2028 Grads) will play on Saturdays against college teams

Ocoee SS Aiden Mojica (2027) went 2-4 with 3 RBI’s in OBA’s Saturday afternoon victory over the Carolina Prospects @ Charleston Southern University.

OF / 1B Ethan DeClue (Apopka 2027) drove in 2 runs Saturday @ Charleston Southern University.

On Friday afternoon Apopka OF Maddox Thompson (2029) had a hit and knocked in 2 runs against SBA 16U Richardson at Charleston Southern University.

2029 OF Noah Falcone (Geneva) had a hit and drove in 2 runs Friday afternoon at Charleston Southern University, leading OBA to victory over SBA 16U Richardson.

AC Craver (Boone) who does a little bit of everything in our program caught and went 2-2 with 3 RBI’s in OBA’s Friday afternoon victory over SBA @ Charleston Southern University.
