First Day, First Pitch! ⚾📚

📚⚾ First day of school is here! ⚾📚

Time to trade the baseball field for the classroom (at least for a little while 😉)! Wishing all our players a home-run first day filled with new friends, new adventures, and lots of learning.

Keep your head in the game, work hard, have fun, and make this school year a grand slam! 💪⚾🏫

Let’s make it a season to remember—on the field AND in the classroom!

🔥 11U YARD GOATS GAME DAY HIGHLIGHTS! ⚾🐐

What a day for the DC Yard Goats 11U! Two games, plenty of offense, aggressive baserunning, and a huge bounce-back performance!

💥 GAME 1: Yard Goats 9 – Carolina Firebirds 15

The Yard Goats came out HOT, jumping to an incredible 9-0 lead early! Javien L. had a huge day at the plate, going 2-for-2 with an OUT-OF-THE-PARK HOME RUN and 3 RBIs 💣🔥. The Goats collected 7 hits, 7 walks, and 12 stolen bases, showing great patience and aggressiveness on the bases.

Although the Firebirds rallied to take the game, the Yard Goats showed plenty of fight and offensive firepower!

🔥 GAME 2: Yard Goats 14 – Diamond Dogs 2

The Goats bounced back in a BIG way!

A massive 10-run first inning set the tone, and the Yard Goats never looked back. Javien and Wyatt each drove in 3 runs, while Kyle went 2-for-2 to lead the team in hits.

The Goats added 4 more runs in the second and got a dominant pitching performance from Abel O., who allowed just 1 hit and 2 runs over 3 innings while striking out 5.

💪 The Yard Goats also showed tremendous discipline and hustle during game 2!
⚾ 14 total runs
⚾ 8 walks
⚾ 8 stolen bases
⚾ ZERO errors
⚾ 5 strikeouts on the mound

From a tough loss to a dominant bounce-back win, the 11U Yard Goats showed resilience, energy, and teamwork all day long.

🐐 That’s Yard Goat baseball! 💙⚾

THE RESULTS ARE IN — AND THESE YARD GOATS SHOWED OUT!

Our Hit-A-Thon brought some serious competition, and these kids absolutely went after it.

11U TAKES THE TEAM TITLE!
With an incredible $203.53 average raised per player, our 11U boys came out on top and earned a special team training session with Chase from The Ultimate Swing! That’s a TEAM win — everybody contributing, everybody pulling together. Congratulations 11U!

And then there’s our individual champion…

CJ EARL — 12U — $700 RAISED!

CJ takes the #1 overall spot and is walking away as our Hit-A-Thon Champion AND Grand Prize Bat Winner! $700 is absolutely incredible. Way to go, CJ!

And our TOP 5 FUNDRAISERS deserve some serious recognition:

1. CJ Earl – 12U — $700
2. Brycen Lovill – 11U — $695
3. Abel Infinger – 9U — $576
4. Kyle Delbert – 11U — $550
5. Michael Reynolds Jr. – 11U — $400

We’re proud of every one of these kids, but none of these numbers happen without the people standing behind them.

To every family member, friend, neighbor, business and community member who donated even a single dollar — thank you. We know you didn’t have to give. The fact that you chose to support our kids and believe in what we’re building means far more to us than the final dollar amount.

This fundraiser was successful because you showed up for our kids. We’re genuinely grateful for every donation, every share and every person who helped make it happen.

11U, enjoy that training session — YOU EARNED IT.

CJ, enjoy that new bat — CHAMP!

And to everyone who supported the DC Yard Goats…

THANK YOU. We couldn’t do this without you
