This weekend was another great outlook on what our DFW Ravens Athletics have been putting in hard word and dedication on getting better as a team and even stronger organization.
For the Spring 2026 Season we participated in the Ea Sport inaugural Spring 7on7/8on8 season. With alot of new players who are just learning football, to players younger in age, moving up to play with kids older and so focused on playing with kids their same age. They are being competive now playing up as they move up in middle school and high school they will have hit the trenches on playing against older kids and will compete at a different level.
As the president of the organization, my coaches are a solid group of men. They all are dialed in on coaching these young athletes. Anyone can coach a team of top studs. But it takes time to swallow your pride and 'COACH'EM UP' Starting with the fundamentals, and building chemistry and hitting that wall of adversity IN PRACTICE!!! So when you see adversity during a game, the coaches see it, the players feel it. They become as one unit to reach the goal.
Saturday in the EA Championship the DFW Ravens Athletics sent 5 Teams to the Championship game!
Our 6U Division which consists of some late 4yr Olds up to 6rys old playing 8on8 flag football, thats not traditional football as they are forced to learn how to pass and catch.
Or 8U Division which took a major hit on retur ing players moving up to the 10U Division, so tons of TEACHING had to take place on both sides of the ball.
Or 10U Division who gained the standout 8U players from last year, stepped up and playing with older 10U players and as of right now a lot of the younger players are starting on that 10U team.
Or 12U team who also lost a few key players from the team last year, the players that are standout now grew into their positions as they were the second string players and had to sit and wait their turn, oh did they every grow!
13U team this team was a collaborative effort from some of the 12U players stepping up to play against 13U players and they came in and contributed in a big way defensively and offensively and at the Quartback position. This year a team that the Ravens have played against for years in city championships from 6u to 12u the Southside Hornets, going back and fort seen a big picture and joined forces to make the LSU colors of Ravens Purple and SouthSide signature Yellow!

Shout out to Southside Patrick Brown and Prolific Antonio "BA" and Ravens 12U Head Coach Zavier Odhams. I even got called in to call offense for the boys and it was great seeing the athlets compete and push each other.
So we can call it the Ravens brought 5 teams to the championship and walked away well represented and well decorated!
66U- 2nd Place (Head Coach Justin Tone )

10U-Champions (Head Coach Brandon Lawson )
12U-2nd place (Head Coach Odhams)
13U-Champions (Head Coach Southside Hornets & DFW Ravens)
Parents none of this would be possible without you! The support and drive you have behind your student athletes is top-notch. No sports organization is not possible without you.
Again great collaboration between the Southside Hornets and the DFW Ravens...
