CALLING ALL VJCLers: Are you a student of immense talent? Do you crave a moment in the spotlight, and to be recognized by your loving fans for all eternity? Do you want to win up to $50? If you answered YES to any of these questions, you should consider auditioning for That’s Entertainment!, the annual VSCL-run talent show held at every Virginia Junior Classical League State Convention.

All acts are welcome! Register at the link in our Linktree to audition on 2:00 PM the Sunday of Convention (11/24), and if you are selected, you will perform your act at 12:30 the next day (Monday 11/25). Auditions are limited to 3 minutes in length, but acts performed on stage can be up to 5-7 minutes – so please bring an abridged version of your act to audition.

First, second and third place winners receive $50, $30 and $20 respectively. Make sure to register by 1:00 PM on Sunday 11/24. We can’t wait to see all of your talent!

The Virginia Senior Classical League is now officially accepting members for the 2024-2025 school year!

We are a collegiate organization (exclusive to people who have finished high school) dedicated to assisting the Virginia Junior Classical League at Certamina and State Convention. We’re the people responsible for Kickoff Certamen, State Finals Certamen, moderating tests at State Convention, and running your favorite Talent/Comedy show, ‘That’s Entertainment.’

Along with assisting our favorite Junior Classical organization, we also have many of our own VSCL-specific events — so if you’d like to join a mega-cool Collegiate Classical organization and participate in game nights, barbeques, meme wars and laser tag, come and join the VSCL!

The form to register can be found in our Instagram bio. Please have the registration form filled out and dues paid no later than October 1st.

We’re excited to have you all this year, and be sure to stay tuned for all of our upcoming VSCL events!

BBQ held at Savvy’s home in Arlington, specific address will be provided upon RSVP.

And then afterwards, we’ll all go out for lunch together!

The event will be held on June 30th at 12:00 PM in Bluemont Park, 601 N Manchester St, Arlington, VA 22205.

The event is ONLY OPEN to current VSCLers, and VJCLers who have just graduated High School (ie Slashers).
