The Battle for the Capital is here... This is a multi-week competition between teams from District CrossFit, Patriot CrossFit, and Potomac CrossFit. Programmed as a completely different format than our regular CrossFit class, SWEATCON offers a kick-butt, intense workout designed to make you sweat. Programmed with CrossFit-style movements, we've taken out the Olympic-lifting so that any fitness level can join us in this hour-long class. There are no prescribed weights, so you can dial up the load as heavy or light as you need. These classes are included in your membership, but bring your friends! Have them sign up for a special SWEATCON only membership.

CrossFit Weightlifting Seminar
July 21-22nd @ Patriot

Hosted by Coach Mike Burgener, these two days are spent detailing each lift (sn**ch on Day 1, clean and jerk on Day 2). The focus is on participants experiencing the basic positions and learning the foundational teaching points for instructing others to achieve them. The sn**ch and clean and jerk bring speed, power, coordination, agility, accuracy and balance to training and are indispensable to CrossFit programming and developing a well-rounded athlete.

The Weightlifting Course teaches participants:
*The proper stance, grip and positions for the sn**ch, clean and jerk.
*The Burgener warm-up, skill-transfer exercises and the rationale for each component.
*Common faults and corrections for each lift, with opportunities to coach other participants in the lifts.
