What if your most valuable food safety training didn't feel like training at all?
A recent article from Quality Assurance & Food Safety Magazine highlights how immersive learning experiences, like escape rooms, simulations, and gamification, are transforming food safety education by improving engagement, critical thinking, and knowledge retention.
At SQF Unites, we had the opportunity to put that into practice with our own interactive escape room experience. Participants worked together to solve food safety challenges, think critically under pressure, and apply their knowledge in a realistic, collaborative environment.
As the food safety industry continues to evolve, so should the way we develop the next generation of food safety professionals. Sometimes the best lessons come from unlocking the solution together.

Most corrective action plans don't fail because of bad intentions. They fail because they fix symptoms instead of causes.
That's the core message from Meagan Jurick of CMX1 in SQFI's SQF365 digital seminar: "The Power of Effective Corrective and Preventative Actions."
Her framing is worth repeating: "CAPA should not be seen as punishment. It's an opportunity to learn, improve, and demonstrate your company's commitment to doing things right."
Effective CAPA reduces recalls, builds operational consistency, and strengthens your food safety culture. It's one of the most powerful tools available. Watch the full seminar to see how to put it to work. 👉 https://bit.ly/43ymYEz

This morning, SQFI's Kristie Grzywinski joined the Society of Bakery Women breakfast. Along with good food, conversations ranged from students exploring careers in food safety to discussions with experts about yeast production hazards. One thing was clear: innovation and food safety go hand in hand.
These conversations reflect the collaborative mindset that drives the baking industry forward, and it's the same commitment demonstrated every day by the more than 1,656 sites worldwide that hold an SQF Baking certification. These facilities are helping raise the bar for food safety, quality, and operational excellence while delivering products consumers trust. We're proud to be part of a community that values continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across every stage of the supply chain.
Thank you to the Society of Bakery Women for bringing together such an engaged group of professionals. We look forward to continuing the conversations!
