Free meals like vacations or holidays create anticipation.

Anticipation creates discipline. It helps with delayed gratification. This teaches us that if we can be patient, a greater experience — or reward — is upon us.

Gym time! AM vs PM exercise?

Though both time slots do a body good, it turns out that they boost different metabolic processes.

Morning workouts stimulate genes in the muscle cells that make them more effective at metabolizing sugars and fat. Also, you are 300% more likely to get it done. (My winner!)

PM workouts increase whole body energy expenditure for an extended period of time.

In terms of overall health, one is NO better than the other, so train when it best fits your LIFE - because the worse workout is one you don’t do!

So DO them like I am RIGHT there coaching you and you might be feeling tired but you are not tired.

1 cup or kale​​​​​​​​
1 cup or spinach (really has no taste but jammed filled with nutrients and antioxidant)​​​​​​​​

Part of the reason exercise may feel overwhelming is because of our busy schedules.​​​​​​​​

But you can probably find places where you can fit in exercise. ​​​​​​​​

Maybe it means getting up an hour earlier in the morning, taking time during your lunch break, or getting on the treadmill when you watch television at night.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
It may help to put exercise right into your day planner along with must-do meetings and doctor appointments.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
People who workout don’t have more time than people who don’t. They’ve just practiced making exercise a priority​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Scheduling your workouts and treating them like any other appointment you wouldn’t miss may help you stick to your program.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
If you don’t have 30 to 60 minutes at one stretch, then break up your exercise throughout the day. Research shows you can get the same benefits when you walk for 10 or 20 minutes three times a day.​​​​​​​​

Between Mardi Gras, St. Patty's Day, March Madness.. and the arrival of spring has most everyone reaching for a drink.​​​​​​​​

The really BIG DON’T when trying to reach a health and fitness goal is alcohol. ​​​​​​​​

Drinking alcohol is a surefire way to increase the inches on your waist. There are so many studies that have found a high correlation between increasing alcohol consumption and increasing waist measurements in women and men.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Both wine and beer consumption were positively correlated with expanding waist lines in the women.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
So if you are going to drink... ​​​​​​​​

Think before you drink and less is best!​​​​​​​​
