I wanted to take a moment to publically thank Ms. Meaghan for what she does for me and what I know she is doing for many of you reading this post. For those thinking about joining in on one of Meaghan's programs, DO IT! Meaghan coached and mentored me to my nutrition and health goals and I have considered her a dear friend, coach and remarkable person. That she has tackled so many challenges in her own life and has so much to give the rest of us, is truly remarkable. THANK YOU Meaghan!!
I wanted to share my experience that I had with Meaghan Faragasso. I was looking for a nutrition coach for a couple of weeks so that I can find out what was causing my bloating issues and wanted to eat better in general. I saw her Hot Body for Life challenge on Facebook and it hit a lot of boxes for me. I joined right in the beginning of January and so glad I did. In just 6 weeks, I have lost 5lbs, bloating went down and I am able to better understand what food works well with my body for the first time. She does a personal nutrition and fitness plan for your body which I loved. The fitness plan is not hours on a machine, its only 25mins of your day at home. I would recommend Meaghan to anyone that is looking for a change and someone that cares about you!

In January 2021 I realized that the stress of work, everyday life, plus the pandemic had taken me to places mentally, spiritually, and physically that I did not want to be so I decided to get back control and contacted Meaghan for help. What started as a 6 week weight loss challenge turned into 6 months of nutrition and fitness counseling on a weekly basis. The results have been tremendous! I lost approximately 40lbs, moved down 8 pant sizes from a 40 to a 32, but most importantly I got my confidence back and better habits centered around a healthy lifestyle that has had a positive impact on the things and people that matter most to me. What do you get when you decide you need help reaching your health and fitness goals and choose a cheap cookie cutter program?

What does it really cost you??

Initially, It costs you the expense of the program that you are flushing down the drain, no matter how small the fee.

More importantly, it costs you your time.

Most importantly, it costs you the two most valuable assets you have: your Energy and your Mindset.

Joining programs and attempting to manage your health and weight in a manner that is not tailored to you will end up in repeated failures. You will lose hope. You will lose faith that losing weight and regaining your health is even possible for you. Your self esteem and confidence will crash as you blame yourself for not being able to stick to a plan that was never right for you in the first place. Your motivation to try again will be severely damaged.

I notice a pattern in people who are not willing to invest in my services. These people no longer trust themselves to be successful because they have had such terrible experiences with cheap products.They have lost hope. However, you didn't fail the program, that program failed you because it wasn't catered to your needs. Those kind of programs are not sustainable because they don't' take into consideration your lifestyle, your preferences, your bodies specific nutrient needs, your health issues etc.

I bring decades of experience to the table. I take on a very limited number of clients because I spend a lot of time designing, programming, and communicating with my clients. I maintain 24/7 accountability, and address self sabotaging behavior. You and I don't just address the weight and health issues on the surface, we delve into WHY you are overweight and WHY you are feeling fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, lethargy, sleep issues, bloating etc.

If you are looking for the least expensive program on the market, that certainly is not me but if you are looking for real results and an investment in learning how to train and fuel your body for life, I am it. We took an impromptu mental health morning.

I am so grateful I did.

On my way to take G to school I asked him if he wanted to see the Cherry Blossoms.

"That would be soo cool." He exclaimed emphatically because well, that is just how he responds to everything I ask him. (Pretty sure he had no idea what Cherry Blossoms were.)

I took a different exit and headed toward the Tidal Basin. In my head I was stressing about my to-do list and the fact that I was missing precious uninterupted work time but I didn't show it. My vow this year to myself was to be exceptionally present in every moment, because life goes on wheather we stop to see the flowers or not. I took the advice I always give my son and took 3 big balloon breaths. I told myself the risk reward ratio on taking him out of school for these 2 hours was pretty good, and I got present.

I had heard people say their kids make them better and until now, I always thought that what they meant by that was that they had to step up their game because they had a closet full of character defects.

Maybe that is what they mean, but I know for myself God didn't bring G to me until I had done the work on myself I needed to do to be ready to raise this guy. I had to go through years of pain, trauma, being honest, healing and personal development.

G doesn't make me better because I have to hide habits from him that I don't want him to repeat. Instead, he makes me better just by being who he was born to be.

He makes slowing down and being fully present so rewarding.

Outdated info about exercise and nutrition for expecting mother's and babies is all over the place. When I was pregnant, I found very little scientific data that was translated into layman's terms and found most momma's I met were/are supper confused about how to best care for themselves and their babies during this time. I vow to change that any way I can.

Regular exercise and specialized nutrition increase the IQ and health of our babies. I posted in the comments the latest research data from American College of Gynocology.

What is a Mind/Body Detox ?

Repetition of old habits keep us Imprisioned to Our Past. Our mind and body are so interconnected that our body keeps the score of our past traumas. This leads to auto- immune issues, aches and pains, migraines, muscle weakness, insomnia, addiction, depression, anxiety, ptsd, weight fluctuations, organ failure etc. The list is endless.

Many people participate in cleanse programs to eliminate toxins they’ve accumulated over their lifetime. These poisons drain our vitality and denigrate our health. Detoxing has gone mainstream as more and more people seek wellness. As well, a vast number of us work out regularly, tending to our physical wellbeing. But there’s a most important aspect of ourselves that we ignore—the health and vigor of our minds. We need to detox our minds from the false and limited thinking that disrupts our lives and our relationships.

What do I mean by the toxins of your mind? Over the course of your life you probably cling to a few primary beliefs about yourself. These beliefs shape the way you know yourself and how you think. They are the filter through which you see. From these beliefs and your personal experiences, you have likely become addicted to certain recurring thoughts that write the script of your life. Regrettably, these thoughts are often self-limiting, denigrating or simply wrong-minded and keep you from living the life you deserve. Habitual thoughts confine you to being a character in your script, rather than being the author of your life narrative. Think of these limiting old thoughts as a straitjacket. Ask yourself what the central theme of your thoughts tells you. They may sound like “I’m not smart enough” or “People don’t respect me,” or “I always make the wrong choices.”

For those of us old enough to remember vinyl records, we might recall that when there was a scratch on the album, the needle would sometimes get stuck in the groove. The same sound or lyrics would keep repeating. In the groove, the tone arm couldn’t find its way into the next groove. This is exactly what happens with our thoughts. They tend to keep reiterating the same messages, time and again. When they do so, they summon old memories and old feelings and thwart our ability to change.

The replay of old thoughts and feelings preclude us from being present. We are simply replicating the past. This is such a wasteful way to live our lives as we move from moment to moment—wanting for change—but not understanding how to achieve it. The continuous repetition of old thoughts and feelings robs us of new experience. As well, it deprives us of bringing new possibilities into our lives. This groove is where fear reigns supreme. Mind detox helps free you from being trapped in the groove.

For an analogy let’s look at tennis. Let’s metaphorically equate thought with being the tennis ball. Becoming aware of the thought is like anticipating the arrival of the ball on your side of the net. You see our opponent’s positioning and footwork, their racquet movement and the position of the ball as it advances toward you. By the time your opponent hits the ball and it approaches the net, you’re fully engaged and anticipating its arrival. You’d hardly wait until the ball was inches from you before you began to react. Anticipation and awareness are fundamental in tennis or any sport. And so we train ourselves in this awareness and time slows in a relative sense as we come into this zone of awareness.

The very same thing can be accomplished with thought as we learn to see it in advance of becoming it. In the nanosecond before you merge with your next thought you exist in a pure state of potential. Everything is possible.You don’t need to be confined by your life history but can break free to create the life you choose. But you need to learn to think differently. Detoxing your mind is altogether achievable once you set your intention to do so.
