Team Fly Girls

Here are a few photos my sister and brother-in-law took as Team Fly Girls came around the breakwater and arrived at the Causeway.

It is so wonderful to have Susan and Russ here as part of our ground support team, along with Betsy's husband, Bill. After a long day of pedaling, paddling, and sailing from Port Townsend to Victoria, seeing familiar faces on shore was a huge boost.

Thank you for all of the encouragement and support. It means the world to us as we continue our Race to Alaska adventure!

We left Anacortes at 07:30 yesterday to Port Townsend to prepare for the Race to Alaska! We had wind and current on our bow but arrived in decent time. A few crew members even practiced their watch schedule resting time.

The team is here! We have been out the past two days fine-tuning sailing techniques, wrapping up final prep for R2AK, going through route options, and taking deep dives into weather forecasts and strategy.

The excitement is real and we are all incredibly eager for the adventure ahead and can’t wait to push off the dock and see what unfolds!
