From the field to the beach! These girls played their hearts out today, winning all three games in pool play and heading into tomorrow with one of the #1 seed slots. We'll be on the dirt at 11:50 tomorrow!

We're in Virginia Beach this weekend where we hope the softball is as awesome as this weather!

This past weekend, our team traveled to Salisbury, MD for the annual Halloween Havoc Tournament. It's always one of their favorites -- since it involves costumes, candy, and a festive atmosphere with good competition!

The team crushed the competition this weekend going 6-0 in a 10 team open level tournament. With 101 runs scored and only 11 allowed, they swept the tournament winning every single game by the mercy rule. This was a weekend of softball with everything clicking into place at bat and on the field! In a total team effort, the girls carried a team batting average of .613 with every player earning a base hit.

There's no way to list all of the amazing plays and hits we saw over the past two days, but every player deserves credit for their part!

Hitting Kudos:
Home run hitters: Avery (4) and Zoe
Triple hitters: Jillian (2), Zoe, Penny, Avery, Kylie, Becca
Double hitters: Zoe (3), Penny (3), Jillian (2), Avery, Riley, Kylie, Annabelle

All of our pitchers (Avery, Ella, Katelyn, Grace, Penny) only allowed a total of 10 hits across all 6 games.

Pitching Kudos:
Avery threw 17 strikeouts across 6 innings.
Ella pitched with 0 earned runs and 0 walks.

Our catchers were also on fire this weekend!
Catching Kudos:
Becca threw out a runner stealing second.
Zoe for picking off a runner at first.

We are so proud of these girls for playing as a team all weekend long, lifting each other up, brushing off small mistakes and staying focused to lock in the championship.

Throwback *Tuesday* since we've had a few weekends "off" from tournaments!
We played in the Breast Cancer Awareness NIT at the beginning of October -- winning all 5 games. The coaches picked MVPs for each day of the tournament.

Day 1 MVPs:
Ella and Grace - shutout pitching during pool play.
Zoe and Jillian - strong hits, no strikeouts batting, and positive attitudes all day!

Day 2 MVPs:
Riley- batting 1.000 and scoring 6 runs
Avery- batting .750 with 4 RBIs
Kylie- making an amazing double play happen from center field
Grace - clutch relief pitching in the championship game

We're hoping to play this weekend in Salisbury, MD at the Halloween Havoc tournament. Fingers crossed the rain doesn't show up!!

We had a pretty important Stars Birthday this past weekend! Coach Sara celebrated her 40th in a big way! We can't thank you enough for always supporting our girls, cheering them on, and pushing them to be the best players they can be.
Hopefully your future spa day is even more fun than a Taylor Swift Eras Concert Movie with the team!

Super proud of our 10U Stars this weekend! They went undefeated in 5 games to play in an intense, hard fought championship game of the Breast Cancer Awareness NIT at Claude Moore Park.

They made incredible defensive moves -- including several double plays, hit consistently, and stayed positive throughout. It was exciting for sure!

Saturday was a long, hot day for VA Stars National - Noerr 10U!
They fought hard in pool play, winning both games and landing in the gold bracket as the 3rd seed team out of 10 playing. After defeating the #2 seed, they came up short against the #1 seed in the championship game.

After 12+ hours on the field, they ended with dirty uniforms, sore muscles, and the runner-up bling! While they didn't win, the fielding, base running, and batting averages were impressive!

Catch us on the dirt back home next weekend for the Stingrays Fall Festival!

"WHEN STARS ALIGN." Yo. VA Stars National - Noerr 10U is legitimately one of the best 10u teams I've seen in quite a while. We worked on sustained focus and the finer details of what makes a power hitter. The future is bright for these youngens.

That's a wrap on Gulf Shores Nationals and our season. The girls fought hard, but the heat, humidity, and long days took its toll.

Even though it didn't go our way on the field, the girls had a blast and made memories, as did their families in the stands.

For all our friends still tourney bound this season, have fun in the dirt and good luck! We're rooting for you all to take home that bling.

Took a couple of tough losses in pool play yesterday, but it's a new day today!

Bracket game #1 vs Louisville Sluggers starts at 9:30 CDT (10:30 EST).

If we win, we're done for the day and play again tomorrow.

The girls had an awesome time trading pins, dancing, walking in the parade, and cheering on Coach Sara in her dance off!!

Skills competition was canceled due to rain today. The girls get another day off tomorrow before playing on Wednesday morning bright and early!
