Copa Nova Results..

Trent Parks was the big winner taking home 4, yes, FOUR GOLD medals. I don't think that anyone even scored a point on him. The concrete was very heavy in Ashburn on Saturday!! Pretty amazing considering that Trent has only been training for a couple of months. He does show up for EVERY class and his dedication showed on Saturday..

Ramon was 2nd in line taking home a SILVER medal in his first ever Jiu-Jitsu competition. He has only been training for a month and I am sure if he had a little more training time that he would have won GOLD. We were very impressed with his performance.

Brian Bouchard took a bronze by submitting his opponent with an armbar. It was a really tough match where he showed he has a huge heart and will fight till the end, great job Brian.

Renzo Silva ended up with a Bronze, he had a bunch of brutal matches against really tough opponents.

Matt Mcdonald won a great match in his Gi division and lost a match but in the match he lost he executed a picture perfect mount escape in less than 2 seconds. Of course I was happy about that!!

Adam Ajaji, Adam Robison, and JT all fought hard but fell short of the medal rounds. We also had three competitors sidelined with injuries this time, V, Andrew, and Kirsten; NEXT TIME.

The next Copa Nova is in 3 months so let's start getting fired up now!!
